On the next court hearing day, both the parties arrived at the court. Tanav was expecting a hearing in his favor, but soon lost that hope after noticing the look on Mr. Bansal's face. Tanav was growing impatient with every passing second, "What is it? She is just a lawyer." he said, "Well Mr. Khanna, if you are not aware, Laya never even lost a single case in her entire career. There are few supreme court advocates who fear to take up a case against her. I think now you know why I'm concerned. Let me get this straight to you, if she is right and Adira is alive, which I believe she is, we don't even stand a single chance of winning." Mr. Bansal said and walked to his chair in the courtroom.

Tanav looked at Laya who was smirking at him, mocking him. Tanav then approached her, "Well, well, my dear to be mother, you do realize how big a risk you are taking, for that friend who left you all and chose me." he said, Laya gave a smile "now I actually know why she chose you out of all dreadful men out there." she said. Tanav was perplexed, he wasn't sure what she meant by that, he wanted to confront her on what she just said but right then the judge walked into the courtroom, and Tanav had to get back to his seat.

Unlike last time, Laya opened the trail,

Laya: Your honor, the police hasn't yet confirmed that Ms. Adira Srivastav is dead and.........

Mr. Bansal: objection your honor! I don't understand, the police clearly gave the evidence of a dead body which likely belongs to Mrs. Khanna. Here are the dress fragments, and the jewelry that the cops have collected.

Laya: I object your honor! How hilarious can this get. I mean I don't understand, why would the killer leave evidence after killing the victim? And if the body does belong to Mr. Tanav's 'ex-wife' why isn't he letting the forensics conduct the DNA test?

Mr. Bansal: I'm surprised, seriously. He never stopped the test, he just wanted to give a peaceful send off. Speaking of which he wanted her family to do the rites.

Laya: Fine, but we don't believe its her body.

Mr. Bansal: and why is that?

Laya: well, your honor. A very important key proof, a piece of jewelry is missing on the discovered body.

Mr. Bansal (laughing): a jewelry is missing?! Is that what you got Mrs. Suryavanshi.

Laya: Your honor, this point is a game changer. I would like to present a video, an interview to promote a jewelry label. She always wore a junk bracelet, and I'd like to mention that it has two hooks so that my worthy colleague doesn't say that it might have fallen off before the incident. In the interview she clearly mentioned never taking it off, and from the last photo clicked of her, we can clearly see her wearing it. All of these only point to one point , someone showcased her death for their benefit. Holding the chances of her existence, I would like to request you to keep the search going on. That's all your honor.

Mr. Bansal was speechless, he couldn't believe that he just lost the case because of a junk bracelet which wouldn't even cost 100 bucks. He smiled at Laya, he looked at Sira and Tanav who were disappointed, he lowered his head to tell them he lost the case to Laya .Tanav walked out of the courtroom, while Sira stayed back to handle some unfinished business. As soon as the verdict came in Laya's favor, the session was adjourned, and everyone were leaving , Sira was following Mr. Bansal to confront him.

Mr. Bansal went to the parking lot with Sira tailing him, he called someone, she could only hear Mr. Bansal's voice. He seemed worried and scared, "I'm sorry Mr. Khanna, I tried but Laya played her cards pretty well to prove that Adira's death was actually staged." he said. Sira was shocked to hear the name Khanna, she realized that one of the 3 Khanna's was involved with Adira's kidnapping.
