Chapter 15

Maanav and Adira were returning back home from Kerala. Adira was very happy and relaxed after the trip, while all Manav did was stare at her when she was not paying attention.
"Adira, I have a request." He said gaining her attention, she looked at him with her doe eyes and gave a nod, asking him to continue. He smiled "Can you be my friend?" He asked making her shocked.
She smiled, "But why me sir?" She asked , "Because I find you intresting, and I feel comfortable around you." He replied with a smile. Adira pretended to give it a thought, "Fine, when we are not in the office we can be friends, if people at office find out you find me intresting they are going to spread too many rumors and I don't want any." Adira said, he smiled and agreed.

Weeks passed by and everything was absolutely fine, Laya was caught up with her SIL's wedding and Raksha went out on a camp with her cousins. So Adira spent most of the time with Maanav which helped them bond well.

Though their friendship was hidden, one person could see through it very well and she was not Happy about their growing relationship.

Aarti was upset with them, she wanted to expose them but, that would disrupt her plan. Aarti was the candidate the HR approved for the job Adira applied. She was employed along with Adira. Aarti had her own reason and motive to apply for this job. But her plans to achieve her target have an obstacle, Adira. She needs Adira out of the picture.

Aarti walked into Maanav's cabin like she owns in, Maanav was annoyed on seeing her walk in without permission. "What the Hell Ms. Aarti? Can't you knock, I'm your boss, where are your manners." He gritted. Aarti smirked at his annoyance, "Well my dear boss, What a change, I can see your preferences have changed quite drastically." She remarked. Maanav raised a brow at her words, "What nonsense are you blabbering Aarti. I don't have time for your shit, get out." He said and turned his attention back to his laptop.

"Adira, I'm speaking about Adira. She is definitely not the kind you like." She said, "she IS my kind Aarti, unlike you. Get out now." He barked ......

In matter of minutes their conversation turned into a fight, seeing Aarti not even flinch or move he barged out of his own cabin only to spot Adira in a lift, he asked her to follow him and took her to the parking lot.

"What happened sir?? You seem really upset." She asked, "no questions Adira, just sit in the car. We need to go somewhere." He said and opened a door for her. Adira realised he was upset and didn't want to push much, so she silently sat in the passenger seat while Maanav sat and drove of to a location Adira never knew existed.

It was a hill top location which was secluded. "Get down Adira." Manav said, his tone turning little soft. Adira obliged and got down. Maanav got off the car and walked to the other side where Adira stood. She was looking at him when he suddenly hugged her.

The hug was pretty tight and strong. Adira was too shocked to reciprocate and she stood absolutely still. Maanav was not suprised she didn't reciprocate the hug, "Adira, I want to confess, I thought this was just attraction, but today I realised What I feel for you is something more intense. I want to lead a life with you Adira. I LOVE YOU ADIRA SRIVASTAV!!!!"
