After a really long time I'm finally diving back into this story. I just hope who read the previous chapters earlier haven't lost their interest and are back to read this.
This happens to be my first book on Wattpad, and I really expect to see your comments that can help me improve.
I'm looking for Comments and Critics who can help me progress and make my work better, not look down on my work._____________________________________________
it was just a week since Adhira started working and she could feel the heat of handling two jobs. she absolutely lost track of time as all she could see in front of her was a laptop screen, piles of paperwork and never-ending calls for appointment and Manav's schedule. Despite all of this She had only one thing that kept her going, Proving herself.
Days and weeks rolled by and in a blink of an eye Adira successfully kept herself going for a month. This impressed Manav and her co-workers. Adira was in absolute joy. Loved and respected by her co-workers, appreciated by her boss, feeling self-sufficient, all of these made her feel more confident. Her inner strength started to increase pushing her to thrive at workplace.
another hectic day started as Adira sat at her desk and started working on a few upcoming projects. So engrossed in her work. she failed to notice a tall figure approaching her. before she could register another presence approaching her a voice rang in her ears making her flinch, "Well Ms. Srivastav, I see you are doing a great job. Very impressive." said Manav. though initially surprised but Adira smiled at Manav. "I need you to note down some really important things so... in my cabin. Now." he said and walked away. Adira followed him with a note pad and pen.
in the cabin, Manav sat in his comfortable chair, while Adira sat in the chair facing him. she was getting ready to take notes while Manav turned on his system, "Well Adira I must really appreciate your hard work. I have an offer for you." he said. Adira shot an instant look at Maanav, who was suprised by her reaction.
"What? I can't understand what your look is trying to convey." he said, "Well sir, your last offer is making me work my ass off, as I have 2 jobs to handle. Isn't it obvious I'm a little scarred of the offers you give me." Adira replied, making Manav laugh. "That was pretty bold of you to say it on my face." Manav said, that made Adira a little tense and embarrassed, "Sorry." she said.
"Thank my good mood that I'm letting this slip, only once Ms. Srivastav." he said and she gave him a nod."Now, The offer. You might remember our recent client Mr. Pillai, right? He is in India, visiting his family in Kerala, he invited us to close a crucial deal as his schedule is pretty packed and personally meeting us wouldn't be possible. He is a very important client therefore we are flying in 3 days. As my PA want you to join me. Though this trip is Official, I offer this as a Holiday." Manav said. Adhira was beyond joy; she was just not able to believe she was getting a trip to Kerala for all the hard-work she has been doing for a month.
giving her a long list of documents to be verified and sent, finally Manav let Adira go, as she was to reach the door and step out, he called her again, "Adira, Mr. Pillai's Assistant informed me that Mr. Pillai's Niece is about to get married, I'm pretty bad with gifts so take my card and my driver will take you to a mall post your work to buy a gift, buy something please." he requested before dismissing her.
Adira internally groaned at the thought of going shopping, "I wish Laya and Rakshitha were free. they would love this task." she murmured as she sat at her desk.

As Adira was logging out, the peon walked to her with a card, "Ma'am Manav Sir asked me to hand this to you, and also mentioned that his driver is waiting at the cellar. Red Audi." he said handing her the card and left.
taking the card and packing her stuff, she got off work at 5.30pm, "Leaving early Sweetheart." called a feminine voice, as Adira turned around, and she spotted Aarti. "Look Aarthi, I don't know why and what is your issue with me is, but its pretty obvious you hate me for some unknown reason. just stay away from me. and me leaving is not your concern I don't owe you any explanation." Adira said in a very frustrated tone before turning to leave. While Aarthi was just smirking at Adira who soon walked out of the office and entered the lift.****
Adira went to the cellar, where she saw a Red Audi with a man wearing a driver's uniform waiting near the cellar exit, walking to him with a doubt she was holding Manav's card. The driver realised her to be Manav's PA, "Adira Ma'am?" he asked, "yes." she replied, "Namaste Ma'am, Manav sir said, I'll have to take you to Mall to buy something important, please get in." he said opening the door for her. "Thank you." she said sitting in the back seat.
Soon they reached a Mall. Where there was a Customized boutique gift shop was located. She soon walked in and looked around the gifts and finally decided to give a portrait, "excuse me ma'am, I have a wedding to attend and looking for a special gift, I have this photo of the couple and want it to be portrait, I need it in 2 days. can it be done." I asked, "Definitely Ma'am but we generally do digital print canvas portraits, it will be ready by tomorrow evening." she said. She took out her phone and sent them a picture of the couple posted by the professional Photography team on their social media handle.
placing the order and making the payment, Adira left the mall, she was dropped home by the driver who was waiting for her, as she was about to get down Adira handed the card to the driver requesting him to hand it back to Manav.
She walked back home and after her dinner she hit the bed and drifted to sleep peacefully dreaming of a tiny vacation Manav offered in Kerala.
