Chapter 12

Adira returned home with the offer letter and a box of sweets. Her mother was delighted and handed her some money, the last allowance she would be giving to her lovely daughter. However, Adira hid that she is officially Manav's PA, and she unofficially has to deal with two job roles in the office as her mother might worry about the load, and stress Adira might undergo. Adira soon called up her 2 besties to inform them about this good news, the girls got really excited and decided to meet up for lunch to celebrate this achievement.

Adhira too wanted to celebrate her first big achievement, so they decided to head to a place which they recently saw on the reels. Adira got ready wearing jeans and a simple top; she took some savings along with the money that her mother gave her earlier. As a token of appreciation her dad surprised her by handing her, his card to shop whatever she wanted with a 6,000 rupees budget. Delighted Adira took a cab and reached the decided location.

Adira was the first person to reach and was eagerly waiting for her friends to arrive. Adira walked into the cafe and ran into a young man. He had a catholic cross tattoo on his arm, the man glared at Adira as she accidentally stepped on his shoe. Adira took her step back and apologized, "what the hell do you mean by sorry, huh? Do you have any idea who I am?" he yelled at her. Adira was not going to tolerate such a tone, "Calm down mister. It wasn't on purpose; it was purely an accident." Adira returned. This pissed the man further; he tried closing the distance between them by stepping in Adira's direction. Adira placed her hand in between them to keep the distance, but he pushed her hand away. She had to admit this man was stronger than he seemed. He kept advancing his steps as Adira took steps backwards, she stepped back until she hit a table from behind. This didn't stop him from approaching her, Adira started to get tensed, his intimidating nature was scaring her. As her fear took control over her she slapped "how dare you! Do you have any idea who I am? I'm Noel, Noel Fernandez!" he yelled as anger seethed out of him. Before Noel could advance anymore or hurt Adira another man appeared next to him who held him back. Noel glared at the man, "we need to go Noel." the man said in a serious tone without even budging at the death glare Noel was throwing at him. Taking in a deep breath to control his anger, Noel turned to Adira, and left after glaring at her for another few seconds.

As Noel walked out of the cafe, Adira sighed in relief. Within a few minutes everyone got back to their own work, and Adira sat at an empty table waiting for her best friends to come. In just a couple of minutes both her friends arrived, the trio hugged each other before falling into their chairs. They ordered some snacks and milkshakes. They enjoyed their time eating, chatting and laughing. As Rakshitha vented her frustration about her brother's antics, Laya spoke about her boyfriend's tricks to please her. Finally, Adira broke the flash news and detailed out about everything that happened at Maanav's office. Laya was happy that finally Adira got the job she wanted while Rakshitha was not happy, she was against Adira having double the regular work. She was all set to file a case against Maanav, but Laya convinced Rakshitha that if Maanav fails to recognize Adira's work or exploit her rights, she would be the first to sue him and his company at the court. Rakshitha was excited about suing Maanav, Adira was having the best moments and soon the girls decided to go out shopping.

After their lunch the girls headed towards their next destination. They all got into Rakshitha's car and drove to their favorite mall. As they started going through all the shops, Laya got busy buying something for her boyfriend. Which slightly annoyed Rakshitha and Adira, "I'm glad neither of us are committed. I need to have a call with Aayush." Rakshitha said, as Adira smiled at Rakshitha, "that won't help because, Aayush will enjoy knowing how successful he is in pleasing his girlfriend. You don't want him to have the upper hand in their relationship now, do you?" Adira questioned; Rakshitha sighed agreeing with Adira. Adira went around the shops as Rakshitha and Laya were busy trying the dresses they chose. Adira saw a dress which was very costly, though she wanted it, she knew she couldn't afford it. She walked away with disappointment. Soon Adira joined her friends again who were at the billing counter, buying the dresses they liked.
