Days have passed, then weeks, then even months, and Evelynn heard nothing from the Task Force. The first weeks she waited for something, a visit, something coming through the comms, but at the end of the day, there wasn't anything.

During those months she took some time to think about herself, her career and her own personal image, making her soon quit her job as a stripper.

She wanted a new start for herself, have a decent job to save up for paying her university. So, instead, she got a job as a barista at a small café.

She was surprised to find out someone else paid for her university fees. The person that did it left no name, phone number or anything useful to be contacted. She thought maybe the boys have paid for it, but she didn't want to jump to conclusions.

She was wearing a long skirt, a short sleeved shirt, matching the dark skirt's color, and boots, being at the café. She enjoyed this job more than the previous one, as she was finally appreciated for her kidness, her coffees, rather than her beautiful body, and her seductive dance moves.

Her café was never busy, there weren't too many customers usually, so she could always pick the music to be played in there, could chat with the customers and even check her phone from time to time.

She looked to the door, as the bell rang. Another customer walked in, which she did not recognize. He must have been new, because she always remembered the people that walked in, the ones that were regulars, or just occasionally returning.

A tall man walked in, his dirty blonde hair messily framing his face. He had icy blue eyes, that fixed hers. She didn't remember seeing anyone else with such beautiful eyes, but...somehow it remained her of Ghost, of his cold glaze.

"Hello! What would you like to order, sir?"

He approached the bar, towering the girl, making her realize just how tall he was.

His eyes remained fixed on her for a little longer, before looking up at the menu. She couldn't help herself but analyze his face. A long scar was tracing from the middle of his cheek down to his jaw, smaller ones being randomly spread around his face.

But the marks didn't seem to damage his handsomeness. On the contrary, she thought he was looking like a badass.

"A large Americano." He said, his strong, thick accent filling the room. "On the go, please."

"A large Americano? Damn, is your heart okay, sir?" She asked with a light chuckle, as she started preparing his drink.

"Better than you'd expect. Never got any health issues, especially heart ones."

Her eyes found his again, before falling on his large frame, his wide shoulders and thick arms. He was only wearing a black tight t-shirt and cammo pants, making his arm muscles visible.

"No doubt, you're really in shape. A name for the coffee?" She'd ask, picking up her black marker, while holding the plastic cup in her left hand.

"G..." The man stopped for a moment, nodding after. "Simon."

"Simon..." She repeated, as she wrote on it. She handed the cup to him, alongside with a wide, kind smile. "There you go. Have a wonderful day sir."

"You too." He said, as he grabbed the cup, walking back towards the door. "See you."

Ghost felt weird, almost unsafe, as he was walking around the city with no mask. His skull mask was more than cover for him, it was making him feel comfortable, safe, and he wore it so much she wasn't used to be away from it anymore.

He was there only because he had a doctor appointment. The appointment he never needed, never liked to attend, but was forced to have yearly.

He fought the urdge not to go visit Evelynn, on a daily basis. He missed her, but he knew they would never work. They belonged to different words, and dragging her in wasn't something he considered a great idea. It was dangerous, and he did not want to even consider putting her at a risk. Again. She deserved to enjoy a calm life, in which she pursued her dream career as a lawyer. That's why he even decided to pay her fees. So she could finally have some time for herself and focus on it.

As always, he was earlier in the city, and waiting in the car was just a waste of time, letting aside the boredom he would experience. He knew around there was a café, and lord did he need energy to deal with the doctor. Being early was a good excuse to grab one.

He walked in, being welcomed by the most beautiful smile, and pair of eyes he have seen.

Evelynn was standing at the bar, smiling brightly at him. He felt like his heart skipped a beat, but tried to keep himself calm, and act like he didn't know her.

"Hello! What would you like to order, sir?" her angelic voice rang into his ears.

"A large Americano." He said, his eyes fixing the girl in frong of him. "On the go, please."

"A large Americano? Damn, is your heart okay, sir?" She asked with a light chuckle, as she started preparing his drink.

He looked at her, at the grace she had while just making a simple thing, such as a boring coffee. He fell for her, a long time ago, but he didn't want to admit. There was no use in it anyway, there wasn't going to be anything between them.

"Better than you'd expect. Never got any health issues, especially heart ones.". He said, watching her carefully.

"No doubt, you're really in shape. A name for the coffee?" She'd ask, picking up her black marker, while holding the plastic cup in her left hand.

"G..." He stopped for a moment, nodding after. "Simon."

He wanted so badly to tell her his code name, to let her know he was there, but he couldn't. For her sake, he didn't want to get her involved with the military life.

"Simon..." She repeated, as she wrote on it. She handed the cup to him, alongside with a wide, kind smile. "There you go. Have a wonderful day sir."

"You too." He said, as he grabbed the cup, walking back towards the door. "See you."

The moment he closed the door behind him he felt his heart racing. That smile that was perfectly printed in his mind, appearing every single night when he was thinking of her. He did not expect to see it again since the day he drove her home. But he needed to see her again. Soon.

"...see you again Evelynn." He whispered for himself, letting out a light sigh.
