"Where are we sitting?" I craned my neck looking around the stadium. Scarlett and I just got here about fifteen minutes ago, food, drinks and signs in hand, the stadium was packed with people. It was hard to see anything.

"Um, shit I don't know. It says section 107, Row A, seats 5 and 6" Scarlett swiped her thumb over her phone screen showing me the information. Standing on my tiptoes, I looked around a couple more times before seeing a big 107-108 sign.

"This way, thank god." I groaned. Gripping Scarlett's hand with my left, and our signs folded my right, we trudged through the sea of people. My brow broke out in a small sweat, brushing past people as we walked.

After what seemed like forever, we finally made it to our section, walking through the hall. Coming out I inhaled a breath, the icy air hitting the back of my throat. Squeezing Scarlets had, she squeezed back, as we made our way  down the steps to our seats. Plopping down, I sighed, placing the signs on the backboard, facing away from us.

"Jesus, what a hike. It's gonna be hell getting back up there!" Scarlet hissed, cracking open her can of beer. She took a sip, dabbing at her top lip with a napkin.

I shrugged and swallowed hard, hubbing my hands together. I was here. I was supporting the man I cared for. But I was fucking excited. I was only a few minutes away from seeing him in his jersey, like the one I'm wearing now. Colby will be only a few feet from me playing his heart out in front of me.

"Earth to Jo? Are you in there?" Scarlett called out waving her hand in front of my face. I jumped back, glaring at her.

    "What?"

"Are you excited?" She asked again slower and louder. I rolled my eyes, but nodded anyway.

"Of course I am! This is crazy! I cant believe we're this close to the ice!" I look around watching all the sweat start to fill. I picked up my hot dog and took a bite. There were some people out on the ice, scraping up ice shavings before the zambonis came out.

    It was almost time.

"Ladies and gentlemen! We cannot thank you enough for this support we've gotten from you all! Nothing would have been done if it wasn't for you guys coming to our games. We appreciate all of you!" A voice boomed over the speaker. I looked up, and there was  camera in front of some guy's face on the monitor. His hair was slicked back with too much jell, and was really over dramatic on his movements. It was comical.

The stadium erupted with cheers and whistles, people clapping, getting excited. My heart was hammering in my ribs. Looking over at Scarlett and saw she was holding her phone in the air, a smile plastered to her face.

"Smile, Jo!" She hollered, snapping one two many pictures. I grinned my chin resting on her shoulder.

"Good lord, Scar, how many more are you going to take?" I hissed through my smile.

"Aaand, done!" Scarlett brought her phone closer and swiped through them, laughing at some of the blurred out ones. "I love this one, it's too cute!" Scarlett shaved her phone in my face and I grabbed her wrist, holding it still.

"My eyes look so wide. Like I deer in headlights." I scrunched my nose, shaving her phone away. Taking another bite of my hot dog I glazed at some faces within the crowd. Some old, some young, some around my age, some with kids. Everyone was dressed in jerseys but no one had mine. I felt special.

Not a moment too soon, the lights went dim, and everyone in the stadium screamed.

"Ladies and gentleman are you ready to meet your hockey team tonight?!" The announcer hollered, different colored lights robbed throughout the place. The audience screamed louder, Scarlett and I joined in. I took a swig of my beer.
