I was the first one to wake up on Sunday morning. I was cocooned in Colby's arms, his breath ticking my beck as he snored softly behind me. The weekend events flashed in my head. Colby's team winning the game, our kiss over the arena, everyone cheering for him. I opened up about my past to him, too. The date last night was perfect. I couldn't be more grateful for Colby. It's like I'm on a cloud, floating. As much as it killed me to talk about my past, it relieved me at the same time. He made me feel safe.

Glancing around the room, our clothes were everywhere, my face stretched into a smile, remembering the hot moments in the elevator and at the restaurant. Colby was a true gentleman, and he neer failed to express that. Opening doors, complementing me every fucking chance he got. We couldn't stay off of each other, it was mad. But I loved it when Colby's hands were on me. Everything was planned, everything was amazing. Everything was a dream.

But something in the back of my head was stuck - Beth. I remember Trent giving a hint of her being a part of Colby's life somehow. He said she ruined him, broke him. She must have been an ex, since he put it that way.I've pondered the thought of asking about it, but I also didn't want to overstep my boundaries.

Scarlett was right, I should have told Colby about it. And as much as I hate to admit it, she gave me good advice that night. I felt like an idiot for vomiting in front of Trent, but I'm sure he and Colbby have had their fair share of vomiting.

My fingers traced over his, his arm wrapped around my stomach, the other under the pillow, dropped over the edge of the bed. I closed my eyes, again, smiling to myself, taking this in. Colby's warm body behind me, naked-

Oh my god. He made love to me last night. For the second time.

He said that he loved me. Was that real? Did I just imagine it? My brain worked its gears reminiscing the moment...

"I'm mad about you too, Josephine Reynolds. And I love you." ...

I exhaled a breath, curing more into his arms, my backside pushing into him. Colby sirred, his lips grazing my neck. My phone on the nightstand lit up, vibrating quietly. Reaching over slowly, careful not to wake the delicious man behind me, I unlocked my screen seeing Scarlett text me.

Hope you two had a great date night. You DESERVE IT. ;) Everything okay?

Biting my lip, I swiped a reply.

The happiest I've been in a long time, Scar. Meet in an hour for breakfast?

The gray bubble came up, before her reply came back a second later.

Def. ;)

"The happiest you've been, hm?" A deep voice croaked. Locking my phone screen I sat it on the nightstand, turning myself in Colby's arms, so I was facing him. My hand reached up to his cheek. His eyes still closed, a smirk itched on his lips.

"So we're snooping now?" I whispered, teasing. My fingers slid into his hair, combing out the tangles. Groaning, Colby moved me on my back, and laid his head on my chest, arm and torso draped on top of me.

"Keep doing that, Angel." He spoke, voice horse. "It's hard to sleep when there's a light in your eyes."

"It wasn't in your eyes if they're closed." I corrected. Grunting, Colby yawned, his arms locked around my body, my fingers coming through his hair. I relaxed underneath him, the skin to skin contact comforting.

"Fair enough. But you didn't answer my question." Colby cleared his throat, and shifted, to where he was hovering over me, eyelids half open, the sleep wearing off of him.
