I woke up a few hours later, the sun peeking its way over the hills. The birds were singing softly outside, and there was chill in the air. Frost had covered the grass, dusts of white everywhere. I stretched my arms over my head, feeling an extra set of arms around my abdomen. Placing my hand over theirs, they hugged me tighter, pulling me close.
Colby.
Smiling to myself, I cuddled into him, just laying there with my eyes closed, enjoying the moment. It was the second time he stayed over but the first time in my room. In my bed with me. My stomach churned for hunger and bit my lip. Sighing, I slowly tried inching my way out of Colby's arms. His snores soft in my ear, his breath tickling my neck.
Out of his arms, I bright the comforter up on his back, wincing at the sight. Seeing his back covered with my claw marks made me blush as deep red as read the hoodie they gave me. I placed a kiss on his shoulder and padded my way out of the room, shutting the door behind me. Colby worked out all the time, and he needed the rest.
Making my way over to the staircase I passed my mom and dad's picture, placing a kiss on my fingers. I tapped each of their memorial pictures, and sighed heavily. I missed them so much, they would be so proud to see me. Even though they didn't care for me when I was bigger, they would now. Right? Or at least they should have from beginning to end, no matter what I looked like.
Flipping on the kitchen lights, I began taking care of the beer bottle, and left over s'mores items. Whipping down the countertops, I grabbed everything needed for breakfast. I was hoping everyone was in the mood for chocolate chip protein waffles, because I sure as well was. I grabbed the butter, eggs, milk and protein power mix. Tossing everything in a bowl I chopped up the rest of the Hershey's bars and sprinkled the bits in the batter. Spinning on my heel, I grabbed the waffle maker and plugged it in, spraying the iron with cooking oil.
Waiting for the iron to get hot, I padded over to the coffee maker and tossed out the old grounds, replacing them with new ones and a new filter. Turning the coffee maker, I went back to the fridge to grab orange juice and set the table.
Right when I turned around, I found Scarlett in the doorway yawning, her hair all sorts of ways, making me jump.
"Morning." She croaked. Wearing only her hoodie and socks, her legs running for miles.
"Morning. Enjoy your night?" I asked, a grin slowly spreading, I grabbed a ladle and dipped it in the bowl of batter. Scarlett grabbed a pan turning it on for the bacon and sausages.
"Of course. With that dream boat next to me, I slept like a baby." She grinned. "Coffee ready yet?"
"Not for another few minutes no. So... you guys..." I trailed off, wagging my eyebrows.
"Oh god no. Not that far. But we did explore each other through the night. Trent is a big talker." Scarlett blushed. "That's probably the most I've talked to someone in a long time. Most of the time it's just 'hi what's your name? Cool lets fuck'". Scarlett snorted a laugh flipping the bacon hearing it sizzle. I placed a waffle on a plate filling the iron with more batter.
"Sounds like a good time." I reply.
"And you? What about you and Mr. Handsome?" Scarlet whispered, elbowing my hip. My face went red and I bit back a smile.
"He asked me out on another date, and its formal, and this coming saturday." I admitted. Scarleet cooed and hugged me sideways.
"Which were definitely going shopping for!" She squealed turning her attention back to the food.
"He also asked me to go to his game Friday night, and you can come too, be a supporter for him - or Trent I should say." Taking out the third waffle and adding more batter I turned to Scarlet. "He asked me to be his girlfriend too, Scar."
