"There must be something we've missed." At the police station, a certain detective frantically searched every document he had laid on his table. There was nearly no clue on this incident, and he was on the verge of shattering the walls with his fists.
"Shikanoin, for the last time, this case is impossible to solve." Sara stood by the detective's door. "They got us this time. The murderer found a blind spot of the surveillance camera, making the police unable to identify him."
The detective finally stopped. He turned around to look at the officer.
"What about all your big talk about looking for a witness?"
Sara sighed. She had no idea how many times she had to repeat herself to him. "The cameras did not catch any witness on the scene."
The detective frowned, "If the murderer was in the camera's blindspot, is it not possible there are witnesses at said blindspot too?"
"That is precisely why we are unable to get a witness of the scene."
The person who reported the case only found the dead body, and the police couldn't find any trace of the crime. From an outsider's point of view, this is basically the end of an unsolved case. Yet, the detective was eager to keep on looking into it.

You heard footsteps coming closer to your room until the door was pushed open, but you were too unbothered to look at who was it that entered.
"Are you sure about this, Shikanoin? The nurses said she is a difficult person to hold a conversation with," Sara confirmed his decision.
The male took a step into the room and motioned his colleague to close the door behind him.
"There's no harm in trying."
After the sound of the door closing, you heard the person who was called "Shikanoin" walking towards your bed. He pulled a nearby chair over and sat comfortably in silence. It wasn't too long until he began to speak.
"You might have heard my colleague call me 'Shikanoin' earlier. I am Shikanoin Heizou, a well-known detective for solving any cases, including nearly impossible ones." His voice was calm. When you don't sense any ill intention from him, you slowly turned your head. "You may refer to me as Heizou. I was told your're Y/n, is that right?"
How did the police find out your real name? You were sure you disguised yourself quite well for every case you've reported. You even had a list of nicknames to use. Even the name plate outside your door wasn't real.
"Mm" was all you gave the detective as a response before turning your head away. The nurses saying you were hard to talk to wasn't a joke.
However, the detective did not seem fazed at all. Rather, he held up a big smile and leaned his body closer.
"Great! Look, I'm working on this case and was hoping you could help."
Your ears perked up and before you knew it, your hands found the edge of the bed, ready to help yourself off to flee. Heizou was quick to notice this. He immediately grabbed your arms and pulled you back to lean onto the headboard.
He's stronger than he looks, you thought.
"Stronger than you thought, hm?" As if reading your mind, Heizou smirked. It was then you finally turned your head to fully look at the male, with a frown visible on your face.
"Now, now, no need to be so cautious. At least hear me out first, would'ya?"
Knowing there was no chance for your escape, you gave in.
