**I shall warn, there is some heated moments in this chapter. It will be noted before it begins**

Sarah and Xerxes walked in silence as they made their way to the cottage. Xerxes looked toward Sarah with a softened gaze and smiled. "You did great back there. I believe Seshi may come around." Sarah smiled as she glanced toward Xerxes. "Honestly, I'm not quite sure what I did back there, but it felt... natural. Like in a moment, it felt as if that's who I was." Xerxes chuckled as he patted her shoulders, "Because it is you. This is who you are and always have been. You've just kept it all bottled up inside. Who knows, maybe you'll knock out the war before it even begins!" Both Sarah and Xerxes chuckled together as they approached the cottage. "That would be funny to beat Dracius at his own game." Xerxes smiled and sighed.

Sarah looked toward Xerxes and patted the steps as she sat down, ushering for him to join her. "So, how does Seshi know who you are in this form?" Xerxes laughed as he shrugged, his eyes glistened in the moonlight. "Ah way back when I was just hatched, I was young but all dragon's start to show their powers a few weeks after birth. I got carried away and came wandering away from Baskara and right into the Troll kingdom. Seshi was a younger troll then, still a princess. But she came across me and we played and laughed together until I took form into a dragon again. At first it scared her, but then she became intrigued by me. Every once in a while I still came to visit her when I had a chance. That is until I was assigned to work with Dracius. Eh, I haven't been able to see her since." He leaned back on his arms as he looked up at the stars. "We have been lifelong friends since then. It's why I'm confident that she will come around.. Hopefully."

Sarah looked up to the sky and couldn't help but sigh in satisfaction, "I love how it's so peaceful here. Like the calm before a storm, you almost can't tell what's to come." Xerxes looked back to Sarah when he heard her voice soften and pursed his lips. "It'll be alright. Everything will work out in the end." Sarah looked back to him with watery eyes. "How can you be so sure, Xerxes?" Xerxes smiled and shrugged his shoulders. "Honestly, you can never be sure. You just have to trust it'll work out and allow it to happen. Don't ever try to make things work, eventually you lose control that way. Just allow it to happen and go from there." Sarah looked away furrowing her brows as she took in what was said. "What if it turns into something you didn't want it to be and it changes everything in the end?" Xerxes laughed as he pinched Sarah's cheek. "Ah silly girl life always changes, and we can't control it, we just focus on what we can control which is the choice we make in the end."

Sarah nodded with a slight smile as she looked back up at the sky. "You're right. We will take each step as it comes." They sat there for a while before Sarah yawned and stood to stretch. "I better get to bed if I want to be rested for tomorrow." Xerxes smiled, "You go on ahead, I will keep watch out here. "Don't you need to sleep too, Xerxes?"

With a laugh Xerxes responded. "Sarah, trust me. I will be fine." Sarah smiled and bid goodnight before disappearing inside.

The cottage had separate rooms and a small kitchen. Which added to the coziness as most troll cottages are, she climbed the stairs and followed the hall to the last room. As she went in, she noticed a window that showed a full view of the sky and a bed that lay opposite of it. She took off her shoes and plopped on the bed slipping under the sheets.

The cottage sat a ways away from Seshi's home but no views of cottages were in sight. Xerxes settled on the steps as he thought back to what occurred earlier. Sarah amazed him at the amount of power she was able to release when she took charge. Her power is slowly coming undone but is it coming undone too quickly? He pondered, but he didn't really know. All he knew is that anything could happen from here.
