CAW! CAW! FLOWER HASHIRA KOCHO KANAE! DEAD! KILLED BY UPPER MOON TWO! CAW! CAW! KOCHO KANAE! DEAD!
It couldn't be true, she almost didn't believe it was real. Why? Why her? Why was she the one bleeding out in her arms? She had so many she wanted things to say but couldn't find the strength to do anything. But stare with her blurry eyes.
"Shinobu.... Leave the corps, please" her beloved sister whispered in nothing more then a barely audible whimper.
"Live a normal life, a long life, find someone you love and never let them go. Please"
As her sisters final tears fell, carrying what little life she had left, her eyes closed. She was gone. Taken. By that bastard who's eyes stared deep into her soul so full of life yet so hollow. A smile dawned upon his lips as he spoke.
"Ahh, how cute, what a touching eulogy I just brings a tear to your eye doesn't it?" He teased upon deaf ears
"The sun will rise soon, but don't worry I'll be back for you. I'd never forgive myself if I let such an adorable girl go free"
"Bye bye"
Suddenly her eyes flew open, stained red from the tears she'd shed. "Please don't be real" she pleaded, praying to whatever god she though may answer as she threw herself out of bed sprinting down the hallway to that door on the left. Throwing it open so violently that is she had any strength in her arms it would've been torn from its hinges. Her eyes fixated on the bed in the room on the left.
"Shinobu? What time is it?" Her beloved sister questioned her with only a mild annoyance. She knew about the dreams, she knew the routine that followed. Like clockwork her sister ran at her throwing her arms around her neck, her purple eyes in a haze.
"Nee-san, your still here!" Shinobu whimpered. Her eyes now flowing with tears of joy, knowing it wasn't real. Knowing her sister was still with her.
"Why wouldn't I be silly?" Kanae spoke, gently caressing her younger sisters hair wrapping a strand around her finger.
"I had the same dream again, but this time I saw his face. He spoke to me" she lamented, not wanting to think about it anymore as she recalled those hollow rainbow eyes staring at her. The smile on his lips that looked so forced yet so natural, as if he'd been practicing it for centuries. The older Kocho simply stared with that glint in her eye, and that smile on her lips. That smile that could warm even the coldest heart. All it took was one glance, and her worries, her fears, her heartbreak had vanished. Gone.
"It's just a dream, it's never going to happen. Trust me Shinobu. I won't leave you alone." Kanae spoke trying to comfort her sister.
"Come on Nobu. Let's eat." Even though she knew Shinobu wouldn't be hungry. She never was after that dream.
"I'll make your favourite. I'm pretty sure we still have some ginger left over from last night" She said, knowing that was the only way to get her adorable little sister to eat with her in the morning.
"I doubt it, we used a lot last night" the younger Kocho spoke almost in a whine.
"Trust me, I'm pretty sure we have some"
and just like clockwork they both got up. Hand in hand. And walked down to the kitchen. Ready to start another day, like they always did. They both ate together. Shinobu was right, they didn't have any ginger but she knew the routine by now, as she stared out at the sun rise thinking back on the dream that had plagued her for weeks now. She knew that she just had to trust her older sister. Even if she only said that to make her feel better.
