After the funeral ceremony was done, everyone gathered around the outside balcony. Naeresys looked around to see if she could find her family, but it was of no use. She walked around until someone caught her eye.

It was Jacaerys. Naeresys walked over to him and stood next to him, saying nothing. "Well, are you going to talk?" He asked, confused. " I will, but I wanted you to do it first." Naeresys smiled and hugged him.

"I heard about Ser Harwin and Lord Lyonel. As much as I hate to say it, I'm sorry for your loss," Naeresys whispered in his ear, making sure that if someone were watching, it would be like she was hugging him.

Someone was indeed observing them. Alicent watched with mean eyes. She hated that her daughter would marry Rhaenyra's son and that she would be even more related to Rhaenyra. Alicent had fought with Viserys multiple times, but he would not listen to her.

"Thank you, Naeresys," Jacaerys whispered back. They talked some more about how they felt about officially being betrothed and what their wedding would look like. They spoke of things that seemed more like a dream than reality.

Rhaenyra soon came up to them and started to whisper in her son's ear. Naeresys didn't understand what was happening when Jacaersys suddenly walked off toward his cousins. "Where is he going?" The young Targaryen asked her older half-sister.

"To say his sympathies for the loss of Laena," Rhaenyra responded. "Oh, okay.." Naeresys said. There was a silence between them, not comfortable nor uncomfortable. "You and I will be getting much closer soon. Jace was pleased when he received your letter. Though he would've liked it better had you come and told him yourself?" Naeresys sighed and looked up with a small smile.

"I would've liked to do that, but when Mother found out. She confined me to my chambers for almost a whole moon. Now she is just angry but can't do anything about it." Rhaenyra sighed and looked at Alicent, who watched them like a bird.

"When you are married to Jace, you shall live with us in Dragonstone. And speaking of getting married, we should talk about when." Naeresys smiled and looked out to sea. " Jacaerys and I talked about it, and we were thinking four years to come, not too soon but also not too late." Rhaenyra smiled.

"You've thought this through," She said, "Yes, I have. Now, I hope you don't mind, but I think our father is getting bored." Rheanyra laughed and nodded her head.

The older Targaryen watched as her young sister walked toward their father, and in an instant, Viserys had a bright smile as they talked.

"Father, are you bored out of your mind yet?" Naeresys asked, mentioning a guard to get her a chair.

"Not yet, my dear child, I saw you speaking with Rhaenrya." He said, looking in the direction of his eldest daughter. "Yes, she mentioned how I am to marry Jacaerys," Naeresys told him as she fixed his ropes.
