"Excuse me?! He did WHAT??" Kuki Shinobu yelled up in anger.
She couldn't believe what she just heard. As the Deputy Officer of the Arataki Gang, she was responsible for the gang's legal issues, such as getting them out of the messes they make and handling professional affairs.
She was just recently informed about Itto's whereabouts by the gang members.
"General Kujou put him in jail..." Akira murmured under his breath, feeling ashamed.
"He umm... He called her bad names." Mamoru tried to explain without having to say any of those words.
"He said that Sara is a big b-" Genta was cut off by Akira as he held his mouth to avoid more conflict.
Shinobu put her hand on her forehead as she tried to understand the situation.
"So you tell me that Itto started cursing in front of her, then he started dissing her because his vision was taken. Sara had enough and arrested him for disrespectful behavior." she stated. "Do I understand it correctly?"
The boys looked at each other, then started nodding in harmony. Shinobu let out a big sigh. She was trying to keep her cool but it was really hard since she was very worried and mad at him. She couldn't believe he would do such a thing.
"So let me guess, you want me to go up to General Kujou and get Itto out of jail?" she placed her hands on her hips as she raised one of her eyebrows at the boys.
"Yes?" Akira spoke up in a calm tone making everyone stare at him. "What?"
"Boys, this is not the first time Itto is in jail which means they won't just let him out if I go up and apologize to her in his name. Also, we don't even have enough money to bail him out." she sighed as she thought. "We could have had but Itto spent all the money on his beetle fights yesterday..."
"Dang it! I told him to stop but he didn't listen to me..." Mamoru crossed his arms as he shook his head.
"Huh? What do you mean? You were cheering for him! I was the one who told him to stop!" Genta snapped at him.
"No because I was the one who told both of you that it was a bad idea." Akira joined the argument with another fact.
"That's not true. I started it!" Genta continued to stand by his words.
"GUYS! STOP!" Shinobu yelled up making everyone look at her. "I don't care who did what, what matters is that we cannot get him out of jail! We need help."
The boys looked at each other helplessly.
"Seems like we no longer have a boss..." Genta looked down almost tearing up by the thought of losing Itto forever.
"What will we do without him??" Akira's eyes watered up.
"What will Granny Oni think about this?" Mamoru sighed as he looked out the window.
Shinobu looked at everyone one by one as she thought of something. She couldn't let the boys be sad and she was worried about losing Itto as well. She had to think hard for this. Without Itto, her whole life will fall apart and she might need to go back to be a shrine maiden. No, that's not happening!
She needed to think of someone who is close to them and might have enough money. A person's face appeared in her mind. Bingo!
"I have only one suggestion... We could ask the Traveler about this. After all, he is now a member of the gang." she stated with a slight smile under her mask.
The three boys looked at each other and a wide smile appeared on their faces.
"Wonderful idea, Shinobu!" Genta raised his hands in the air in happiness. "I really hope we can get Boss out as soon as possible."
