Chapter Six - A Date With Miss Hina

As the big celebrity came out of the door, Itto's heart skipped a beat. She was way more beautiful than on the art pieces. He felt his cheeks heat up immediately as he heard her speak for the first time. Her voice was soft and caring, Itto could feel butterflies in his stomach.

He shook his head firmly and got ready to attack.

"Miss Hina! Miss Hina!!" he quickly got out of the crowd and rushed up to Gorou.

"Hey! Who do you think you are, oni?! I was the first one in line!" a man yelled at him angrily.

"Sorry, bro. The biggest Miss Hina fan has all the rights to be first!" Itto grinned back at him, then turned to the famous person. "W-wow! I can't believe I can finally meet you in person!"

Gorou's ears were pushed back a bit as Itto leaned really close to him. Well, this was awkward. Seems like Itto's been writing letters to him. Unfortunately, he didn't know which ones were from him.

"I-" Itto had struggle searching for the right words.

Should he be pushy or should he be just friendly at first? He kept thinking about this all night instead of sleeping. He even tried to ask some soldiers but they all yelled at him and told him to shut up and sleep. Now here he was stuttering for words and not making any sense. He couldn't even read Miss Hina's face, it seemed like she was confused.

Gorou wasn't confused, more like surprised. He has never seen Itto stutter or not knowing what to say. Actually, no one has. Itto was known for being loud, brave and egoistic, but here he was. He pushed all his ego away as he muttered something under his breath.

"Miss Hina." he finally gathered his words to say something meaningful. "I know you don't know me but... I'd like to ask if after you finished talking to everyone, would you go on a date with me?"

He put his two index fingers together as his face became fully red. He was trying to read Miss Hina's face again with not much luck.

Gorou's ears and tail dropped as he heard his question. His friend wants to go on a date with him? He nervously took a glance at the crowd, seeing everyone jealous and angry which made him wonder. What if someone random asked him out on a date? At least he knows Itto and can get to know him more. After all, it seemed like he shows his true self to Miss Hina.

Itto desperately put his two hands together as he looked down and begged.

"Pretty please!"

Gorou let out a soft chuckle.

"It would be my pleasure, stranger." he tried to keep his character as much as he could.

"OH!! OH!" Itto jumped up in joy but then immediately started apologizing. "My name is Arataki Itto- I mean "One and Oni" Itto! I didn't introduce myself, I'm sorry!"

Seeing Itto all flustered as he was apologizing over and over made Gorou laugh a bit. He thought Itto was a funny guy and that was proven once again.

"Now, let me talk to everyone so we can go on our date." Gorou smiled at him, then turned to the others.

Itto nodded repeatedly and stepped aside. Wow, he couldn't believe Miss Hina actually said yes. It had to be a dream! There's no way, right? A date with Miss Hina? He's never been happier. He let out a soft squeak and ran off to a beverage shop so they can drink there later on. He booked their places and went to the flower shop as well. With not much money he had, he was soon faced with the fact that flowers cost a lot and he cannot afford them. He felt terrible but what could he do? Sure, Shinobu took him here but she didn't lend him money. He was worried about his new doggo friend too. He just vanished and he hoped he was doing all right.
