Stuck In Your Arms (Ittorou / Itto x Gorou)

Chapter Nine - A Little Meet-up

Gorou and Itto soon arrived into their little room. The general took a deep breath as he stopped and slowly turned to face his oni friend. Itto also stopped in his tracks and kept his eyes on him in confusion.

"Yeah, General?" he tilted his head in curiosity.

"Umm..." Gorou's ears dropped as he felt his heart race faster and faster with each second. "You know... Miss Hina is not my-"

He knew he should tell him but Itto's gaze just made him more nervous than he already was. He just stood there without a single word. It was so unlike him.

"Miss Hina told me she'd like to meet you again tomorrow. She really likes you." he finally blurted out something, though it wasn't the thing he wanted to say originally.

"Oh! Really?!" Itto's eyes started shining like stars in the sky. "OH MY GOD! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!"

Gorou just let out an awkward laugh as a response.

"Wow! Thank you for telling me, General! This is why you're my best pal!" the oni kept smiling like never before.

Gorou felt terribly ashamed for not being honest again, but instead putting himself into worse and worse situations. He knew that covering his lies with more lies will soon get him into trouble and Itto will be very mad at him for lying about everything. But at this moment he didn't care since all he wanted was just to spend more time with him.

"Well then, I have a date tomorrow!" Itto chuckled as he hugged Ushi in pure joy.

The little akaushi bull was happy to see his best friend again. Kokomi took care of him while Itto was gone but he was extremely worried about the oni's whereabouts. He let out the happiest 'moo' a person can imagine.

The bright sunshine woke the boys up early in the morning. While Gorou had a hard time getting up, Itto was already putting on his clothes in a hurry. The general immediately raised his ears and sat up as he noticed what his friend was doing.

"Huh...? Where are you-"

"General! Sorry for waking you up, I have to get ready for my date!" Itto interrupted him as he finished buckling his belt.

"But she's probably not even awake yet..." Gorou groaned as he slowly stood up with a pain in his lower back.

"It doesn't matter. As the man, it's my responsibility to plan the best date known to women." Itto said proudly as he placed his hands onto his hips.

Gorou blinked a few times in confusion.

"Maybe you should let her plan the date now." he finally spoke up again sounding extra unsure.

Itto gasped loudly.

"LETTING THE WOMAN PLAN THE DATE?! You must be out of your mind, General!!"

"But she probably has plans already if she wanted a date again so badly." Gorou stated while eyeing Itto. "After all, I know my sister better..."

Itto kept silent as he visibly started thinking. He glanced at Gorou while muttering something.

"Hmm... You might be right." he nodded to himself as he let out a sigh. "Well in that case, I shall stay with you until then. Wanna go do something together?"

Gorou smiled and opened his mouth to say a happy 'yes' but then instantly stopped as he realized he should be the one planning the date then. He started panicking as he tried to tell Itto that he's busy.

"Well-, I- I'm sorry but-"

Itto couldn't understand much from his stuttering but he was sure that the general didn't want him to be near him at the moment. Perhaps he had plans with another friend already... He started feeling that painful feeling again in his chest... jealousy. He had no idea why he felt that way but he didn't like it at all.
