"SHINOBU!"
Itto rushed up to her and picked her up as he hugged her harder than ever. Shinobu's face turned red but it was unknown if it happened because she became flustered or because she couldn't breathe from Itto's tight grasp.
"It's been only two days! Put me down!" she started swinging her legs wildly in the air.
Itto let out a soft chuckle, then placed her down carefully.
"Oh, really. My bad." he apologized shyly.
Gorou cleared his throat before interrupting them.
"This is Her Excellency, Sangonomiya Kokomi." he pointed at the woman next to Kuki Shinobu. "She's the leader and the heart of the Watatsumi Island."
"Oh, so the leader is a fish indeed..." Itto thought to himself loudly as he analyzed Kokomi with his eyes. "I suppose she can walk on water too, right?"
Kokomi started blushing a bit from feeling embarrassed. She didn't expect anyone to call her a "fish".
"No, she's not a fish!" Gorou immediately backed her up. "But yes, she can walk on water."
"That's awesome! Then she must be cooler than the Raiden Shogun!" the oni declared proudly knowing nothing about any of them.
Shinobu visibly slapped her forehead. She couldn't believe Itto was that stupid. Kokomi stepped closer to Itto, ready to introduce herself to him.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Arataki Itto. Your friend here has told a lot about you." she spoke in a soft and friendly tone. "I've heard that you're also a leader of something and that you're a very strong and powerful person. It's a pleasure to have you by our side."
Itto started laughing as he took out his comb to fix his hair.
"Oh, I know. Everyone's so happy to work with me. Gosh, I'm so flattered, thank you Fish Lady!" he grinned happily at her.
Gorou's face turned pale as he heard Itto's words. He thought he will faint. No way Itto just said that...
To everyone's surprise, Kokomi just let out a quiet giggle. Shinobu raised her eyebrow in wonder but then she decided to change the subject instead.
"By the way, I'm only here because I have to tell you something important, Boss." she turned to her leader who was still busy perfecting his hair.
"I'm all ears, Shinobu."
"Miss Hina will have a meeting in person tomorrow. Did you hear about that?"
"WHAT?!" Itto's eyes shut open as he instantly stopped everything he was doing. "WHERE?! I NEED TO GO THERE NO MATTER WHAT!!"
Shinobu started laughing.
"Well, that's the problem. The deal we made with the Tenryou Commission stated that you cannot leave this island."
"NO! PLEASE!! I'LL DO ANYTHING!!" Itto's tone turned into a desperate one as he looked at Kokomi. "FISH LADY, PLEASE DO SOMETHING!! I NEED TO MEET MISS HINA!!"
"Umm... I don't think I can do anything about this..." she looked away in shame.
Itto bursted out crying which no one expected. Gorou's ears dropped as well as his tail as he watched Itto fall to his knees sobbing.
"No! We must do something!" he shook his head. "We can't let him be sad!"
"All we could do is take him there in secret and hope no one will notice." Kokomi let out a sigh as she thought. "But breaking a deal might start another war between us. It's risky."
