"Eunbi, time for you to wake up," my dad pushes my shoulders gently. I sit up and stretch my arms while yawning. I scan around my new room and roll my eyes.
Ah, you're first day in this crap hole.
To sum up in a nutshell, my parents divorced 5 days ago. Turns out my father got into an affair with his colleague. Why am I staying with him rather than my mom? Don't worry, it's not like I hate my mom. It's just that she suddenly moved to Canada after the divorce and left me without a word. What a harsh world. Now, I'm staying in a new house with dad and his new wife, BokDong. Not like I give two shits about them.
"Get ready for school. It's your first day I don't want you late." He helps me up before leaving my room. I groan and drag myself to the vanity. The only thing I liked about myself is my wavy brown hair. It was long and healthy, reminded me of the times my mom used to play with it.
I slap my cheeks and it brings my senses back to life. Time to get ready for your first day of school.

"You'll head to the principal's office first and you ask some big kid where you can find your locker and-"
"Dad, I'm not 9. Don't worry." I stop him, obviously annoyed.
Dad was driving me to my new school. Beside him at the driver's front, Bokdong. She was putting on some red lipstick before glaring at me through the rear view. I knew she didn't like me being in the house. I smile at her sweetly with a hint of sarcasm because I knew she hated it. Finally we reach the school gates.
"Oh and Eunbi. Do not get into anymore fights, please."
My eyes widen. Oh yeah, its been a long while since I punched any jaws. I giggle to myself at the sudden memory of the last time I did get into trouble. That guy totally deserve it for replacing my hard boiled egg with a raw one.
Dad snaps his fingers and brings my attention back. "And as much as you want to, try to not get involved in any basketball clubs"
"Wae?!" I tried to choke back a curse.
Dad sighs and puts a hand through his hair, "Well, you've been neglecting your studies the last time you got involve in basketball. Being the MVP and stuff, its distracting you. Now, I want you to start a new. For starters, no basketball."
"Oh my god dad I promise I will do better in my studies but please, don't drag basketball into this!"
Step monster turns around and points her sharp fingers at me, "Why can't you listen to your father for once huh?"
"Who are you again?" I scoff at her.
"Enough Eunbi!" Dad suddenly yells. This feeling of not having anyone supporting me is like a big punch into my throat. I want to retaliate but I know i'll end up tearing instead.
"Whatever." I mumble and left the car while slamming the door hard. The car drives away and I have the urge of lifting my middle finger. I don't even know how shitty my life has already become. First my mom left me. Second an evil ass step mom and now no basketball? Hell no. I was the most valued player in my old school. It's my life! I kick the floor in frustration and storm into school.
As I enter, a bunch of girls begins running pass me excitedly. Boya, since when were girls so excited for school? They stop and crowd around at something. A fight? Oh I gotta see.
As I came closer, I figure out it wasn't. Instead, it was some group of boys, attractive ones. I guess there were the popular ones in this school. All the girls were screaming 'oppa' and sighing over their charms. I hold on to the strap of my bag tighter and pushed pass the crowd. Just then, a girl accidentally knocks into me and my shoulders shove this dude beside me, causing him to drop his books.
"Yah, who the fu-" He looks at me and stops talking. What's his problem?
"What a burden. Watch your way, dork." I mutter coldly and walk away. I can't be bothered with these flower boys. Ah, where is the principal's office again?
