Chapter 16:I Am The Problem

Just like any other weekday,students are questioning their existence. Some students are spilling teas of others cause their life is boring,some going through mental breakdown cause they didn't study for the test,some trying to sleep peacefully in the rock hard table of cafeteria. That's what our beloved Kang Taehyun is trying to do.

Alison: Do you think you can sleep here with all those noises? If you wanna sleep then go to an empty classroom. What did you whole night? You don't even have a lover whom you will text whole night.
Taehyun: I studied.
Alison: Whole night?
Taehyun: Yes.
Alison: We don't even have any test.
Taehyun: We have.
Alison: That's in 2 months.
Taehyun: Only two months.
Alison: Okay Einstein.
Taehyun: Why do you look so happy?
Alison: So, Elijah asked on a date. We went on a date and he asked me to be his girlfriend.
Taehyun: Don't tell me you said yes.
Alison: What if I did?
Taehyun: Seriously? On your first date?
Alison: You would have done the same thing if it was crush. But are you okay? You look really down.
Taehyun: My step sister is coming back home.
Alison: I think you can bear a few days.
Taehyun: She is going to stay permanently. I don't like her. My mother loves her more than she loves me and my noona.
Alison: Then why don't you stay at your father's house?
Taehyun: I don't want to be a burden.
Alison: I don't think so. He will be happy to see you.

Later at Taehyun's house-

Taehyun: I am hom- oh. Kon'nichiwa, Sakura imouto.(Hello, Sakura unnie)
Sakura: Why are speaking Japanese? I can perfectly understand your language.
Taehyun: Then you can also understand that I don't want you here?
Sakura: Are you afraid that I am gonna take your place?
Taehyun: You already did it a long time ago. When you stepped in our family.
Mrs.Kang: Here's your green tea latte, Sakura. Oh, look at my poor baby. You probably didn't eat well in Japan. Look how skinny you got.
Taehyun: Mom.
Mrs.Kang: When did you come? I didn't even see you. Can you bring the sushi from the kitchen for your sister?
Taehyun: Mom, I just got home from school. I am tired.

Taehyun said with a blank expression.

Mrs.Kang: Your sister came home from Japan after almost 4 years. Can't you be a little understanding?
Taehyun: UNDERSTANDING? OH MY GOSH. I AM YOUR BIOLOGICAL CHILD. NOT HER.

Taehyun shouted while tears prickles in his eyes. He tries his best to hold his tears and not breakdown. After his parents divorce his mother married another man. Taehyun was against the marriage. He is still suffering from his parents separation. But his elder sister Seulgi adapted. He doesn't know how she did it. Taehyun's mother changed after divorce. She basically abandoned Taehyun and Seulgi. They still stay at their mother's house because their father's financial state isn't good. Their step father ain't a problem. Taehyun only talks with him when it's needed. He also understands Taehyun dislikes him so he also tries to stay away from Taehyun. But his step sister Sakura, gets more motherly treatment from his mother than he and his sister did. Sakura also takes advantages of this situation which angers him a lot.

Seulgi runs down after hearing Taehyun's shouting.

Seulgi: What happened?
Mrs.Kang: Your imicible brother wants to be treated as a king.
Taehyun: I never said that. All I wanted was be loved by you. You should learn how to bd a mother from your best friend, Beomgyu's mom.
Mrs.Kang: I gave you a roof to sleep, I put food in your plate. Because of me you are studying in such a prestigious school. GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE.
Taehyun: What?
Mrs.Kang: No one speaks like that with me. All my problem started the day you were born.
Seulgi: Mom, please calm down. He's just a kid. He doesn't know what is he saying. Taehyun say sorry to mom.
Mrs.Kang: Because of you he became such a spoiled brat. Arrgh. Both of you siblings are useless.
Taehyun: If me getting out of your filthy house makes you happy then okay. I am out.
Seulgi: Where will you at this time? It's not safe. Taehyun?

Taehyun dashes out of the house. His eye's are blurry because of his tears. His mother's words hit him like a sword. Seulgi followed Taehyun. But Taehyun ran so fast that Seulgi lost him. She can't but do nothing right now. Their mother never listen to them. Taehyun went wherever his eyes went. He became tired of walking. So sat on the pavement. There is not a single hint of a human. The road is empty. Taehyun cried his eyes out. He thought maybe he is really the problem. Suddenly he saw a black mercdes car stopping in front of him. A man came out of the car. He's wearing black ripped jeans, white t-shirt with a black leather jacket and a pair of black boots. The man none other than Choi fucking Beomgyu. His forehead was slightly showing despite of having bangs. Taehyun said nothing but kept staring at him. He looks like a Greek god. On the other hand, Taehyun was still in his school outfit. A orange t-shirt with white shorts and white sneakers. His eyes are red and swollen from all the crying. His hair was a mess.

Beomgyu: What are doing in here in such a time?
Taehyun: I can say the same thing.
Beomgyu: I like driving around this time. What is your excuse?
Taehyun: I had a fight with my mother.

Taehyun looked down. No one other than Alison knows about his family problems.

Beomgyu: What did you fight about that made you ran out of the house? What if I didn't saw you? What if I was some kind of kidnapper?
Taehyun: I know how to fight.
Beomgyu: What will I do with you Kang?. You come with me.
Taehyun: You said you could be a kidnapper.
Beomgyu: Do I look like one?
Taehyun: Kind of.
Beomgyu: Are you going to disrespect your hyung?
Taehyun: I mean I have nowhere to go. So okay. I will go with you.

Beomgyu was about to walk toward his car. Suddenly he saw a hand.

Beomgyu: What?
Taehyun: Pull me up.
Beomgyu: What are you? A baby?
Taehyun: I am cold.
Beomgyu: You didn't eat anything right?

Taehyun nods. Beomgyu gives his hand to Taehyun. He ruffles Taehyun's messy hair.

Beomgyu: You are so careless,Kang.
