As the first rays of sunlight peered through the sunlight Izanami was the first of team Vain to wake up or so she thought noticing Void's bed being completely empty.

Void perked up to the sound of the door opening when he looked back he saw Izanami in an oversized black hoodie and shorts gently rubbing her eye.

"There you are thought you had ran away..." she said walking up to him "morning to you too Nami how do you like your coffee?" He questioned as he started making another mug.

She looked at him and smiled "sweet and creamy please" she said looking at Void's scarred hands as he made her coffee "how many wounds do you have?" She questioned

Void paused before stirring "a lot all over my body ... probably in the sixties?" He started before looking down at her "why does it bother you?" He asked smirking at her.

She then gently held his hand softly tracing his hands "No I think they're...cute on you i guess..." she said staring at his hand.

She slowly looked up at him. Their eyes locked and as a blush crept across her face she quickly pulled away from his hand. "W-we should head back Noaki and Akira must be awake by now!" She blurted out taking her mug and another and quickly walked back.

Leaving Void confused "eh?"

Void rolled his eyes as professor Peter Port spouted on "Monsters! Deeeemons... Prowlers of the night! Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey! Ha-ha!" Professor Port said.

Team RWBY, seated on the front row, are in varying stages of interest; Blake and Yang are sitting up and paying attention, Weiss is taking notes, and Ruby has her head propped in her hand as she takes a quick nap until she is woken back up by Port's bad joke, which receives a cricket-filled silence as a result.

Team VAIN on the other hand showed borderline zero interest. Akira and Noaki had came to the conclusion that they would most likely learn far more and way better about Grimm from Void over time. Izanami stared absent mindlessly at the shaking box in the corner of the room. And Void stared playing with his flames launching small wisps of fire from finger to finger.

"Uhhhh... And you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy! Now, as I was saying: Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world! Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces! And that's where we come in. Huntsmen! Huntresses..." he paused and winked at Yang who groaned in discomfort

"Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what, you ask? Why, the very world!" This led to a student standing in fist pumping the air, said student very quickly sat back down at the stares and glares of everyone.

"That is what you are training to become. But first: A story. A tale of a young, handsome man... Me! When I was a boy..." port said

His words fade into the background as a series of "blah"s when Weiss notices Ruby is very focused on penciling the paper in front of her.

"...Despite smelling of cabbages, my grandfather was a wise man. 'Peter', he told me..."

The speech evolves into more "blah"s as Ruby chuckles at her creation and shows it to her teammates: a ball-with-limbs-and-a-head drawing of the teacher with stink lines coming from him and "Professor Poop" written underneath. Ruby blows a quick raspberry. Blake and Yang laugh, but Weiss looks annoyed.
