"So remind me why we're checking out the dormant volcano?" Noaki asked carefully guiding Akira up the steep slopes of the rocky formation. "Like V said if whatever Icarus saw was going to hide why wouldn't it be in the volcano." Nami said following behind Void watching as he traversed the mountain Icarus clinging to his shoulder "plus it'll be easier to kill if it's in here" Void said his winged companion letting out a yipping sound in agreement.
"By the way Void...what are we going to do with Icarus when our mission is done? We can't exactly walk back into beacon with him" Akira asked causing Void to pause in his tracks before quickly resuming his pace "I'll figure it out..." his response was short and uncertain which caused them to share a look of worry.
They dropped the topic however as they reached the peak of the volcano looking down they saw a staircase on the inside leading down "what the...Why are there stairs here?" Noaki ask confused. "Because this is where the next Darkhart chief is born aka where I was born." Void bluntly responded
"...You're the son of the chief, named after the island and born in the volcano of the island?!" Nami pointed out "next you're going to say you're actually the second coming of god" Akira teased "yeah yeah I know I have a weird background come on" Void said leading them into the volcano.
Akira traced her fingers along the molten rock walls as they traversed down "your people's aura is all over this place...I can almost sense your aura along the walls"
Void looked back in surprise "Really? I've only been her twice the day of my birth and the day the sister tribes leader came" He said
"Oh? But...it's so potent..." she muttered.
Once they reached a landing in the volcano the group looked around.
"The hell, what are these cables?" Noaki said picking up a thick tube containing a black liquid gaining nami's attention "it's definitely not supposed to be here...and what's up with this fluid? Is supposed to be a coolant" she asked tipping the cable watching as the thick liquid slowly dripped out. Void and Icarus's eyes widened as they saw it "STEP BACK!" Void ordered causing everyone to flinch and jump back "w-what?!" Noaki asked panicking watching as the liquid began to slug its way across the floor towards Void "it's a...Grimm?" Void said unsure himself looking at Icarus for reassurance in his statement who nodded and growled his growling slowly turned to whimpers as he shrank back in fear.
Void looked confused 'it's just a small droplet of a Grimm? Why would Icarus be scared?' He thought before realising that Icarus wasn't looking at the droplet anymore and then realised the droplet was seeking void for protection as within a cut out of the volcano walls stood a massive beast with piercing eyes staring right at the group

The hound like creature stood on two legs it's lanky form too big for the cove it hid in. "V-void..." Nami started.
Void slowly gripped the hilt of his blade ushering Icarus to climb into the hood of his jacket which he did. And with a deep breath he issued an order "RUN!" He yelled drawing his blade causing the air around him to burst in his signature black flames, Noaki wasted no time grabbing Akira bridal style and sprinting up the path they came followed by Izanami and Finally Void with Icarus as the lower section of the volcano began to burst and rumble with black flames.
