Anisha's POV :

As Kunal entered the pass code and opened the door for us to enter, I was really nervous in a way that I can't explain. It's something odd, maybe the feeling of moving in with an almost stranger. Yes I might have co-lived with complete stranger and all before but this was different, it's a man this time, And he is my husband. And we are going to live together probably for the rest of our lives. Haha! who am I kidding, he's not my real husband, And this marriage is just temporary. We hadn't even spoken a single word on the whole way, three hours of silent journey!

As I tried to calm myself I tried to look around the porch and captured everything that I see and distract myself. This house was quite big and since it's my first time coming to this house I was quite wonderstruck by it's external beauty. By the time I got back to my senses and turn back towards door Kunal was already inside. This was a little embarrassing I mean he just left me outside the door looking around the building like a fool.

But honestly tell me who wouldn't get amazed when they see a new piece of art in front of them?? and this building was no less than that, but still there was something I felt is missing, And how could he live here all alone till now in this huge house?

"Back to earth Anisha" Kunal snapped me out of my thoughts. He was back outside the door looking at me, when did he come out!!

I looked at him puzzled and started by his loud voice.

"I kept calling you, where are you lost come in fast" he said. I simply followed him inside. My cases were already taken inside. 'Ohh! That's sweet of him' I thanked him for the help and was again busy checking out this new place which is going to be my home from now on.

It looked all cozy and beautiful. Everything looked organized, perfect and clean - prestine. All the neatness and structure made me realize what was actually missing - A homely touch. Yes that's what looks off in this beautiful place. It lacks the feeling of people, a family or human emotion. everything just looks out of store just kept here as decor maybe by some interior designer or some professional.

As we entered the living room, Kunal had bought 2 glasses and a water bottle from the kitchen I suppose and kept in on the table and poured it on both the glasses as he spoke again.

"We will go for the shopping in the evening, I had cleared all the grocery and other few items from kitchen before I left from here for our wedding. So that things don't get spoiled, and since I was alone before my grocery list was also very small. But now we both can go together and shop whatever we need. yeah?"

That's really thoughtful of him. I mean it's good to think ahead of time. I hummed an "Okay" to him as I dranked down my glass of water which he had given to me while speaking. It was soothing maybe I was dehydrated and that's why all this nervousness and somewhat odd feelings kept coming back to my mind, which I guess Kunal did observe as he spoke.

"Drink a little more water and calm down okay! Take some rest and make yourself at home. I know moving into a new place can be scary and not that easy at all"

I didn't reply, I don't know what to say. He pored some more water into my empty glass and continued saying.

"I was a lot nervous when I first moved out of my home."

And maybe he was about to say something else but he stopped abruptly, as if he shouldn't have said what he said, maybe he felt it was too much information. It amused me, imagining how nervous he might have looked back then, but couldn't dare to make any fun as I was myself in similar situation at the moment.

He cleared his throat, and was about to say something when his phone started ringing. He answered the call and apparently it was from his hospital as he started talking about medicine and treatment plan. I ignored him and tried to look around, there weren't any photos or frames anywhere.

"Anyways come with me, let me show you your new room as I have to return back to my work." he said after he had finished his call. And started walking towards the stairs. I followed him quietly, as he opened the first room at right after stairs.

"This is my study! Though I haven't spent any day here as I had the whole house for myself. I keep all my books here to take it out whenever needed. Maybe now it will come to use as I don't have the WHOLE house for myself anymore." he chuckled and moved forward in the hallway to the third door, he opened the door and looked towards me.

I was still standing in front of HIS study as I was trying to process what he had just said, was it his cheap way of letting me know that I was not so welcome in this house of his!?

"Anisha... Hurry up I don't have all day for this" He called me. and I walked towards him.

"And this is YOUR Room" he motioned both his hands inside the room.

"I had got it cleaned and redecorated it completely before I left. Hope you like it"

Ohh that's thoughtful of him again. maybe I did misunderstood the meaning of his previous statement. I was about to thank him, but I saw his face scrunched and he turned around and turned back and said,

"Well you need to live here if you like it or not, so its better to accept it"

And now I was clear he does hate my presence here, but why am I thinking all about it now because we both had already discussed this before and decided for this. A small sigh left out of me as I tried to move inside the room, his voice stopped me going further,

"If you need anything else for your room, for yourself or anything just make a list we can get it while we shop in the evening"

"That room in the you see at last, it's my room"

He said motioning towards the end of the hallway, and I turned to see it.

"The rest of the house, I'm sure you can figure it out by yourself right?"

I nodded in response. He nodded too,

"Okay so house tour done right!"

"Haa, I forgot, there is garden in the backyard you can look around it but please don't bother to touch anything. My garden and my room are the only two things I wouldn't want anyone to interfere. I hope you can understand"

And before I could reply he was already inside his room, locking his door a little loud. Huhh as if I'm waiting to get into his room, I rolled my eyes and entered the room which I still couldn't bring myself to call it as my room yet. This whole place looked quite an alien to me to address it as mine. As I looked into the empty hallway where Kunal had just gone I said to myself,

"This will always be Your House Kunal I'm just a temporary tenant maybe but this can never become our home!"

I took out my case and opened it to bring my clothes and other stuff out. I arranged the essentials on the dressing table and was about to take the rest clothes out when I heard a knock on the door, It wasn't closed. I myself went near it to pull it wide open. Kunal was standing there, he had changed his outfit into a formal one. he spoke,

"I'm leaving for hospital now, I'll be back around 7 in the noon we'll go to the mall"

"Okay"

With that he left, I also went downstairs and saw his car moving outside the gate. I remembered the garden he had mentioned so I walked towards the backyard, and just as I saw it I understood the reason behind his possessiveness towards his garden. This garden filled with colorful flowering plants and greenery. It looks so precious and beautiful, showcasing the love and care of the gardener towards his plants. I decided to spend some more time here.

As the day passed and I explored the whole building, it's where another phase of my life will begin.

A fresh new chapter in a beautiful new place.
