Anisha's POV:
My new friend has shown no much improvement in his sincerity towards this friendship whatsoever. But I'm glad at least we gave a name for what we have.
It's my second month in this new city and I was still struggling with traveling to the hospital each day, mainly because of the timings of the local train. It's difficult to catch it at it's time and I keep missing it ending up waiting for the next one which takes up my time. Today however I had to join an important meeting with Dr Jones regarding the case of Mrs Smith. And at any cost I couldn't be late for today so I gave up on my self respect and asked Kunal to drop me in his car.
"Only today Kunal please" I say while he is sipping his orange juice.
"I have an important meeting and can't be late" he says as he gets up from his chair.
"Even I have a meeting, that's why I asked" I say stuffing the last piece of toast in my mouth.
He sees me and sighs, "okay you have five minutes, I'll be in the car" he says and leaves.
I quickly take the plates, put it into the basin. Wash my hands, dry it. Pick up my bag and rush towards the door locking it.
Kunal was lost in his phone while I entered the car and said
"Ready to go!"
He looks out and sees me sitting behind,
"Do I look like a chauffeur to you?"
I eyed him up and down, shaking my head I say "No"
"Then why are you sitting behind? Come front" He motions towards the passenger seat.
I didn't want waste time so I did as he said. On the way, I said, "I thought you wouldn't want me sitting here. "
"Why"
"I don't know. Many men are very possessive about their car, they only want their women to sit in front, and not just anyone"
"You're my wife Anisha"
"But obviously you don't believe that"
And his reply was just the silence which engulfed the whole space, to distract myself for the rest of the wayi started thinking about the meeting.
Mrs Smith was our special patient. And one of our main concern at the moment. She is in her second trimester of her first pregnancy. She is such a sweet lady and seemed too excited for her baby. But recently she has been suffering from lots of headaches, nausea and fatigue. Though nausea and fatigue was common during pregnancy, headaches were uncalled for, and two days ago she came to the office with complaints of blurred vision. And was reffered to get checked by the eye specialist. Her reports had come and Dr Jones had called up the team for meeting today to discuss regarding the same. Many doctors with other department will also accompany today is what news I got. Normally any case doesn't get this much priority but since it's a high profile case so much attention is given. Anyways I just hope Mrs Smith is safe and has a healthy pregnancy, or else she'll be completely broken.
"ANISHA!! "
I was so lost in my thoughts that i hadn't seen when we arrived at the hospital or when Kunal had walked out and was standing beside me with the door open. I smiled,
"I didn't take you for a gentleman, Dr Ruse " I said as I stepped out of his car in the parking lot.
"Neither did I take you for a deaf. I called you so many times and when you had no plans of getting out of my car I had to pull you out."
"Ohh" I say as we walk to the elevator. As its door opened, we entered and I was about to press the 13 button but he had already pressed it for me. It's then when I realized he was in my block, even knows my floor.
