Cass made it clear that he didn't care if we went or not. Considering his weird behaviour last night, I didn't think that would be the case.
After hours of sitting with him while he was on the phone with different people over and over again - mostly Bella, he'd told me to just go. So I did.
After lots of begging from Emily and Sam, Sebastien finally agreed to come with us since he knew the city better than the rest of us. It didn't do us much good though because now we were totally lost.
"Does anybody see any big signs with like, the letter H on it?" Sam asked, spinning around himself. It'd been at least an hour since we arrived and I was suddenly grateful that I'd opted out of wearing my usually suit for the day.
"This is ridiculous." Emily pouted. "Does no one have any friends who are actually familiar with the city."
I sighed and tugged out my phone, dialling Cass' number. I was surprised when he picked up immediately but I knew he wouldn't be willing to help. He was a lost cause.
"Angel."
"Cass, I need your help. We are completely lost."
"Good. I told you. I'm not getting involved."
"Please."
"No."
He hung up.
I paused, considering my options for a second. I could call my parents but then they would insist I tell them why I was in town and they'd be upset that I hadn't planned on visiting and then they would make me visit.
As I was scrolling through the contacts in my phone, my eyes landed on one I'd completely forgotten I had. I smiled, prayed that Bella would be kinder than Cass was and dialled the number.
"Hey Elliot, what's up."
Oh thank god.
"Bella. We're totally lost. Please tell me you know where.."
I glanced at our surroundings and picked out a random shop, giving her the name.
"Wait. You're in town. Cass isn't with you?"
"No? Should he be? He refused to come."
"Ill be there in a couple minutes." She promised.
It was a little longer than a couple minutes but eventually she appeared around the corner, Her hair was down but it looked like she'd worn it up for a few hours and she was dressed in joggers and a hoodie.
She gave me a hug first and then moved on to sam before nodding at Seb and introducing herself to Emily.
"It's great that you guys are here and all but you should really go back home, unless you're just here to party at my place." She gave us a small smile but I could tell she felt uneasy.
"There's a friend of ours in the hospital, we just stopped by to visit and see if we could get him transferred to the hospital in Pelican town." Emily explained.
Bella ran a hand through her hair and sighed, "Listen guys. It's really not a great idea. You're better off waiting to see if he comes out."
"Is there something I don't know because both you and Cass are all against this stupid hospital, if somethings going on then we need to take Clint home." I insisted.
Bella was way less closed off than Cass was, I knew she'd listen, I knew she'd understand, but I didn't know if she'd be honest with me.
"Elliot, I don't think Cass would be okay with me telli-."
