Kaya decided to do what she could.

What was the reason of anxiously waiting, dreadfully sweating.

What if Oliver did not make it ?

The question plagued her mind even if he had reassured them that he was surely on his way.

What if he inhaled the gas and was currently stuck in a slumber.

Kaya shuddered.

She tried venting out her concerns to Chin-Hae who only grinned at her before barking out a laugh.

The man seemed abnormal at times.

“ Your paranoia is amusing but understandable, ” was all he said before yawning.

“ What if it doesn't work ? ” Kaya cried out in exasperation.

A flicker of worry was now evident in his eyes, he had masked it well.

“ We will cross the bridge when we reach there, darling,”

Chin-hae then encouraged her to be busy.

So there she was, carrying a smoking stove to the mart across their apartment.

Hopefully, she would be able to rouse her friend from the depths of slumber.

4:30 p.m

Alexei and Roy were huddled together.

Anticipation, dread, worry full in their guts.

Hunger was long gone.

Alexei wondered if he'd ever see his wife again.

Roy wondered what would happen if Oliver succeeded, would things just go back to normal as if nothing happened - he doubted.

What if Oliver never succeeded, that he was certain would be dooms day.

“ Here goes nothing, ” Oliver muttered.

It was more than a hustle.

He wondered why the old lady had one of the gigantic fire lighters in the hot weather.

Perhaps for a barbecue , he decided.

Oliver drove from the mansion like a maniac.

Luckily on this fateful day, the air was clear.  He and his recent four friends had worried about it over their video calls a few hours to day break.

He silently blessed the hot weather.

It would make things easier besides the giant lighter across his lap.

He had rolled the windows of the SUV completely down. It was risky to close them. The gas would affect him if it was stuffy.

Oliver drove the way he had come and packed at the unmoving traffic.

He would have to run.

He was in his overalls, key tucked in his pocket, a briefcase in his left, the giant lighter in his hand.

Then it happened.

Two hours later.

An explosion rang out in the sky.

Then multiple explosions.

Flashes of lightening.

Too loud it was.

“ Was that really phosphorus?” Roy asked.

Alexei never answered.

Chin- hae was terrified. He knew something was wrong.

The gas cleared up at last.

But something was wrong.

The four of them could feel it.
