Daryl quickly led Theo to his room that he had been given the previous night, dragging her inside and shutting the door quickly behind, insuring no one followed them
"Get off," She snapped, ripping her arm away. "I need the truth, and the truth now" She angrily looked at him.
"Can we do this calmly, while I clean you up" Daryl argued back but with less tone, looking at Theo who crossed her arms annoyed.
"Well..." Theo looked at Daryl as she was placed on the side, Daryl grabbing the first aid box in his room, attending to her cuts and bruises.
"I never slept with her. I swear on our kids Theo. She just said it to get under your skin" Daryl looked up at her, grabbing her chin, making her look at him while cleaning her face.
She couldn't deny the truth when he swore on their kids, Daryl would never lie under that.
She sighed heavily.
"I'm sorry I doubted you" She stopped him from fussing over her, grabbing his hands in hers.
"You had reason too. It all added up and made sense, but Theo, I saw her 4 times over 6 months. The last time I saw her was when she kissed me. But I barely responded. I swear" Daryl looked at her with begging eyes.
"Okay" She nodded before placing a kiss on his lips.
"I love you" He whispered, placing another kiss on her lips.
"I love you too" Theo told him back as there was a knock on the door.
"Sorry to interrupt, I thought it may have been easier coming here to speak to you instead of you coming to my office" Pope smiled as Daryl walked away from Theo.
"Thanks" Theo smiled even though it pained her to do so. "For the chance" She nodded as Daryl took a seat opposite, Pope standing between them.
"Theodora, you are one of the sharpest fighters I have seen in a long time, you've never had training and I believe you to be better than some of my own." He appraised. "You will be greatly suited by my side, you seem to have a temper that your husband doesn't seem to mess with. How does it suit you, being by my side, taking the first punch when I need you too" Pope asked as she looked at Daryl confused.
"I'm the new guy, you don't even know me" She pointed out standing up.
He smiled
"That was your second test, thank you for the honesty Theodora. And no, that position isn't open. But I do believe you to be one of the best fighters, so I have to give you a partner, Carver and you seem to have a history, so starting tomorrow morning, you and him will be on watch, and then you'll be on runs, trying to track down this woman who had landed as my enemy. As for tonight, I want you to rest, do whatever you Dixons do. Just make sure you close the door" Pope smirked before leaving the room.
