WARNING- MENTIONS OF RAPE
Theo finally got home.
Daryl had taken the kids to Carol's and that's where they would be staying that night.
She flopped on their sofa looking up and Daryl tiredly.
He crawled between her legs, laying on top of her tiredly, looking up at her as she moved the hair from his face.
"Justin, that's your old drug dealer right? From the story you told me about when you overdosed?" Daryl carefully asked.
She nodded shamefully.
"It's okay T." Daryl whispered to her, making her feel instantly better. All until there was a knock on the door.
"Daryl!" Theo panicked as he got up angrily. Walking to the door and swinging it open, grabbing whoever was outside into the house and throwing him up against the wall.
"Damn T. You really know how to pick them" Justin laughed as Daryl grabbed his shirt tightly.
"You have 5 seconds to explain why the fuck you're here before I throw you out of the god damn window" Daryl threatened, Theo couldn't do anything, she just stood there, frozen.
"Alright. I'm here to simply talk to Theo. I want her to hear me out before you think I am on the wrong side" Justin shook as he talked allowing Daryl to drop him.
"Sit over there," Daryl told Justin, keeping him away from Theo. "Talk"
"Well T. It's good to see you" Justin began
"Get to the point," Theo warned as she stood beside Daryl.
"Alright. Shane is threatening me and my family and if I didn't help him, he was going to make sure I never saw my kids again"
Theo laughed
"T. I know what I just did but we were close before the apocalypse, okay. I know I lied for him back there but you have to believe me"
"No, I'm laughing at the fact that you picked his side. And you come in here and expect me to rekindle our friendship. Justin, you were my best friend from 5. Then you turned me into a drug addict" Theo snapped. "You come in here after almost making me lose my kids. Talking about us being intimate. Making me sound like a fucking psycho!" Theo stormed closer to Justin making Daryl stop her in his tracks.
"What happened between us was private. We never slept together. You know that Justin" She begged. "You know nothing about what I went through." Theo cried
"I know." Justin looked shamefully to the floor as Theo walked closer to him.
"Shane raped me Justin. When I was 17. I disappeared because he got me pregnant." She cried as Justin looked at her in shock. "And the drugs I took from you after I got back were to make leaving her easier. I have no excuse for the times before that. I did those drugs because I could" Theo explained. "But now. I am sober with only one relapse under me. I am married. I have three kids of my own. I have two siblings under my responsibility because the rest of my family is dead. You almost took them from me" Theo cried "We were friends for so long and the second you could you turned your back on me. What was Shane going to do exactly? Frame you for a crime where you would be in my position instead?"
"Yeah. He was going to plant drugs on me and here that is almost a crime against death. Okay they would have hung me here. Or send me to the sanctuary, and people never come back from there. I have 4 kids Theo and a wife. We have the same enemy here"
"I wish I could believe you Justin but you proved to me that you would do anything for anyone who put you in danger."
"Theo. I've been here from the beginning okay. I know this place like the back of my hand. I know how this place works. Let me help you and we can take Shane out" Justin looked at Theo.
"No. When I want to take Shane out I will. You've been here the entire time so that means you have no idea about the world outside of these walls. You have no idea what I am capable of. So let me make this clear. Threatening me or my family again. Come near us ever again. I'll do to you what I have done to a lot of other people who tried to cross me" Theo warned as he looked over to Daryl who watched carefully.
"Your husband doesn't scare me" Justin laughed as Daryl smirked.
"It's not me you should be scared of man" Daryl looked back at Theo who never stopped watching Justin.
"You're making someone who can help you your enemy T"
"We've managed before. I think she can manage you" Daryl began walking closer as Justin stood.
"Theo would never hurt anyone"
"The Theo you knew wouldn't. The one standing in front of you, who is extremely pissed off right now would do it without even blinking"
"Oh come on T. You've killed people, the denfensless Theodora Grimes?"
"I've killed over 500 at this point" Don't be the reason that number goes up" Theo snapped.
Justin looked at her worried as Daryl grabbed him by the shirt, throwing him outside.
"And it's Dixon now" Theo snapped.
"Just a word of reminder. Piss of my wife, you piss off me. She'll kill you quickly. But me? Talk about my wife like that ever again, I'll make sure it's slow and painful. Do you understand?" Daryl warned
"Yeah. I understand" Justin nodded. "Just make sure she knows where to find me if you change your mind. Or you know, if she ever wants to stick another needle in her arm" Justin laughed
"Watch your mouth sunshine." Daryl threatened as he took an aggressive step forwards.
Justin laughed once again as Daryl slammed the door.
He looked over to Theo and sat on the sofa with her head in her knees crying.
He practically ran to her side as he engulfed her tightly.
"He's a trigger D. I can't" She began to panic.
Her breathing soon became irregular.
"Shit. No" She gripped her chest tightly trying to take deep breaths.
"Okay. Come on look at me" He grabbed her hands, kneeling in front of her.
She tried to control herself but she couldn't
"Alright making me do this the long way, huh" Daryl tried to make her smile but she couldn't
"What did I tell you during our wedding vowels?" Daryl asked her as she shook her head.
"Come on you know baby, think" He gripped her hands as he watched her eyes try to focus, "You aint a big talker" She began as Daryl smiled, her breathing still irregular.
"Love felt like a myth to you before I was in your life" Theo nodded as she closed her eyes.
"That's it sunshine. Now tell me about what song we sang" He nodded.
"I want to know what love is" She finally caught her breath.
"I know you can do it hun" Daryl nodded as she closed her eyes, regulating her breathing once again, as she collapsed her head against Daryl's
"Let's go for a shower" Daryl kissed her cheek, standing her up.
"Okay" She breathed out.
"You did well, proud of you" Daryl smiled as she kissed him.
"I love you" Theo smiled as she took a deep breath.
"I love you more" Daryl smiled as he lead them into the bathroom
