Part 7: City Breakout

They had taken about five steps before Eevee stopped.
"Do we have a plan for this?" He says.
Poochyena and Mew also stop.

"I thought you had a plan." Mew says.
"Should we come up with one?" Eevee asks.
"Probably should." Mew responds.

"Wait," Poochyena says, "why are they set on kill us?"
Mew looks at Poochyena, confused.
"We helped outlaws I guess? Didn't they also say we were outlaws too?" Eevee says.

"No, Growlithe and Mareep." Poochyena says.
"Oh," Eevee says, "they said they were putting the planet in danger."
Mew looks at Eevee.

"Really?" Mew says and Eevee nods.
"Do they not know how legendary blessed planets work!?" Mew says angrily.
"Legendary blessed planets?" Eevee replies.

"Do you two not know as well?" Mew asks.
Poochyena and Eevee nods and Mew sighs.
"When a planet is blessed, it means the legendary watches over it, not Arceus." She begins.

"This planet is blessed by Rayquaza. They are tasked with creating all the items for the planet."
"If something were to 'throw off the planets balance', the legendary has to deal with it."
"But, there's so such thing as something throwing off the planets balance."

Eevee and Poochyena are surprised to hear this.
"So, they're trying to kill Growlithe and Mareep for no reason?" Eevee asks and Mew nods.
"There is something weird though, the planet is dangerously close to destruction." She says.

"What!?" Eevee yells.
"I think Raquaza is either abandoning the planet or is dying." Mew explains.
"Is there any way for us to save the planet?" Eevee asks.

"Maybe." Mew responds and looks back towards the city.
"First, we should free your friends." She says.
Poochyena nods and starts walking to the city.

"Wait! We need to think of a plan!" Eevee says.
"I got plan!" Poochyena replies and continues walking.
Eevee and Mew look at each other and run towards Poochyena.

"What is it?" Eevee asks.
"I go to city before, with old team. They put bad Pokémon in place." Poochyena explains
"So they must've put Growlithe and Mareep there too!" Eevee says, finishing Poochyena's explanation.

"Uh, thats not a plan." Mew says.
"Yes." Poochyena says sadly but Eevee notices something.
"I don't think we have enough time for a plan, look!" He says pointing towards the city.

A crowd of Pokémon had formed around a group of prisoners.
"Thats Growlithe and Mareep!" Eevee says.
Poochyena and Mew are surprised and Eevee starts to run.

He enters the city and he can hear what everyone is saying.
"Save the planet! Kill them!" Pokémon were yelling.
Eevee notices Growlithe and Mareep are tied to a pole, that was being carried by a Pokémon.

Poochyena and Mew finally catch up to Eevee.
"Thats Marowak, Torkoal, and Walrein." Mew says.
"Pokémon! We have heard your request, and we shall comply!" Marowak says.

Eevee dashes into the crowd and makes it to the front.
Mareep was crying while Growlithe was just staring into space.
'I need them to see that I'm here, if they're not prepared to run this wont work.' Eevee thinks.

Almost if he heard him, Growlithe blinks and stares at him.
His face lights up but quickly goes back to staring.
'Why- oh. He's not drawing attention.' Eevee thinks.

"Now we will kill the destroyers of our world!" Marowak yells and the crowd cheers.
Growlithe looks at Eevee and nods.
Eevee realizes that they couldn't get past the crowd.

'What do I do about the crowd!' Eevee thinks.
'I'll think of something!' He thinks as he runs towards Growlithe.
Eevee jumps and slices the ropes around Mareep and Growlithe.

"Hey!" Marowak yells as Growlithe and Mareep stand up.
Suddenly, Poochyena and Mew burst through the crowd.
"Cmon!" Mew says and Eevee, Growlithe, and Mareep run towards them.

Eevee notices the crowd not trying to stop them.
They almost seem distracted by, something.
'Oh yeah, Mew is a legendary.' He thinks.

They make out of the crowd and run towards the desert.
A group of Pokémon stop them
"You five are under arrest!" One of them yell.

Eevee prepares to run back but Marowak, Torkoal, and Walrein are blocking them.
'Crap what do we do, we probably wont win this if we do fight.' Eevee thinks.
He looks around and sees a building door open.

"Follow me." Eevee whispers and runs towards the building.
They all make it in and Eevee slams the door behind him.
"Now what?" Mew asks.

"I thought there would be a second exit." Eevee says.
"This way!" Growlithe says, running up the stairs.
Everyone follows him.

"Where are we going?" Mareep asks.
"I mean, if we hide on the roof, we might have enough time to think of a plan." Growlithe replies.
"And if we can't?" Mareep says.

"We will." Growlithe says, determined.
They all make it to the roof.
"Okay, how do we escape." Growlithe says.

Everyone thinks for a second.
"I not know." Poochyena says.
Mew's face lights up as they prepare to use something.

"Guys come here!" She says as everyone gathers around her.
Eevee watches as an orb of energy slowly gathers in her hands.
They they throw the orb against the ground just as Marowak makes it to the roof.

Eevee watches as the world suddenly disappears and reappears.
"Teleport, nice" Growlithe says.
"Now where are we?" Mareep asks.

"I mean, we're far away from the city, I don't know where we are." Mew admits.
Eevee pulls out the map from his bag.
A blue dots suddenly appears on the page and slowly drift towards a jungle-y area.

Eevee looks around and notices they're in a jungle.
"We're here." He says placing the map on the ground and pointing at the dot.
Suddenly, a Weedle drops from a tree and lands in front of them

"AH" Mareep yells as they use thunder shock the Weedle.
The Weedle faints from the move.
"Wow." Growlithe admires.

Mareep suddenly makes a cry of pain and falls to the ground.
"Mareep!" Growlithe says and runs over to her.
'Was she poisoned?' Eevee thinks preparing to give her a berry.

Her body suddenly glows white.
"Oh crap." Eevee says, realizing she's evolving.
Mareep slowly transforms into a Flaaffy.

She looks around.
"Holy heck that hurt a lot." She says.
"Thank goodness you're alright." Growlithe says.

Flaaffy hugs Growlithe.
"Thanks for conforting me." She says.
"Okay, enough. We need to get moving." Mew says.

Flaaffy puts Growlithe down and looks at Mew.
"We need to get to Rayquaza." She explains.
"How?" Growlithe asks.

Mew yawns and slowly floats towards a place on the map.
She lands on an island on the other side of the map.
"Okay. Can you teleport us there?" Eevee asks.

"I can't decide where I teleport. Even if I could, I don't have the energy to." Mew replies.
"Why?" Flaaffy asks.
"Legendaries can't do much in the mortal realm." Mew says.

"They usually stay in the realm of legendaries and control things from there."
"But they can come down. Usually if someone summons them."
"Sadly though it takes a lot of energy away from them to do so."

"Now that I'm forced to be down here, I really don't have a lot of energy."
"So we're gonna have to travel across the entire island to get to Rayquaza?" Eevee asks.
"Yep. Anyways, I'm gonna go to sleep." Mew says and floats into the bag.

"Well, let's get going." Growlithe says.
"Can sleep?" Poochyena asks, "am tired."
"I like that idea better." Flaaffy says.

She lays down and Growlithe lays down on the wool around her neck.
They both fall asleep as Eevee lays down.
Poochyena lays down on his tail as they also fall asleep.
