Tom stumbled towards the mausoleum door, gasping for air as he hit the ground hard. He felt a sharp pain in his ribs and knew that he was badly hurt. He looked up and saw Yulia's father standing over him, a wicked grin on his face.

"So, the little human thought he could take on a powerful Ghoul like me?" Yulia's father laughed, kicking Tom again.

Tom groaned, trying to roll away from the kicks but it was no use. He was too weak. Suddenly, he heard a sound that made him look up. Yulia was standing at the entrance of the mausoleum, her eyes blazing with anger.

"Let him go, father," she growled.

Her father chuckled. "Oh, I see. You're willing to fight for your little human?"

Yulia stood firm. "I'm not fighting for him. I'm fighting for myself."

Tom watched as Yulia's father lunged at her, and Yulia prepared herself for battle. The two clashed, their movements quick and fluid as they exchanged blows. Despite Yulia's best efforts, her father was too strong, and she was no match for him.

Tom struggled to his feet, trying to think of a way to help Yulia. But what could he do? He was just a human, and she was a Ghoul. Just then, he remembered something Yulia had said earlier. She had told him that her father was vulnerable to silver.

With a sudden burst of courage, Tom lunged forward, grabbing a silver candelabrum from a nearby grave. He swung it at Yulia's father with all his might, and the Ghoul howled in pain as the silver made contact.

Yulia seized the opportunity, striking her father with a powerful punch that sent him flying. Tom watched in amazement as Yulia stood over her father, victorious.

"Let's get out of here," Yulia said, offering Tom her hand. "This place gives me the creeps."

Tom took her hand, and together, they fled the cemetery, leaving Yulia's father behind. As Tom stumbled away from the mausoleum, he suddenly remembered something that Yulia had told him earlier that evening. As they sat in his apartment and shared a bowl of ramen, she had corrected his understanding of the weaknesses of ghouls. He had always thought it was garlic, just like with vampires, but she had informed him that it was actually silver that was the ghoul's weakness.

Tom smiled to himself as he ran alongside Yulia, grateful for her knowledge. "Thank you for telling me about the silver earlier, Yulia. It's lucky you did," he thought to himself.

Yulia glanced at Tom, noticing his smile, "What's so funny?" she asked.

Tom shrugged, "I was just thinking about how grateful I am for your knowledge. I never would have guessed it was silver that could take down a ghoul."

Yulia smiled, "It's no problem. I'm just glad I could help."

As they raced away from the cemetery and the pursuing ghouls, Tom felt a strange sense of camaraderie with Yulia. They had only met that day, but it felt like they had known each other for a lifetime.

Tom grumbled as he sat in the dark storage room. He couldn't believe that Yulia had locked him in here, saying it was for his own good. He knew she meant well, but he was tired of being treated like a fragile creature who needed to be protected all the time.

Just as he was about to let out another frustrated sigh, he heard a faint giggle from the other side of the door.

"Yulia, I know you're still out there," he called out. "Come on, let me out of here. I can handle myself, you know."

"Oh, I know you can," Yulia said with a hint of amusement in her voice. "But, I can't have you getting hurt. You have no idea what my family is capable of."

Tom rolled his eyes and leaned back against the wall. "I'm not a zombie, Yulia. I'm not going to just fall apart because I got a little banged up."

"Well, I'm glad to hear that," Yulia said, still giggling. "But, I can't take any chances. I'll let you out when it's safe."

Tom crossed his arms and pouted. "You do realize I'm going to hold this against you, right?"

"I know, I know," Yulia said, still chuckling. "But, it's for your own good. You'll see."

Tom let out a sigh and leaned his head back against the wall. He couldn't deny that Yulia was right, but he still couldn't help feeling a little annoyed. He closed his eyes and let out a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.

"Hey, Tom?" Yulia called out, her voice a little more serious now.

"Yeah?" Tom replied, opening his eyes.

"Just hold on, okay? I'll get you out of there as soon as I can."

Tom let out a sigh and smiled. "I know, Yulia. I trust you."

As Tom banged on the door of the storage room, Yulia stood in front of her father with a determined look on her face. Her father laughed, "You really have bonded with your food, my dear."

Yulia ignored him, focusing on the task at hand. She was determined to protect Tom, no matter what. Her father approached her slowly, a sly grin on his face.

The two clashed, their movements quick and precise. Yulia used her agility to dodge her father's attacks, while he relied on his strength to overpower her. The room echoed with the sound of their fists hitting flesh, the tension palpable.

Yulia ducked and weaved, her movements graceful as she dodged a punch from her father. She countered with a quick strike, hitting him in the chest. He staggered back, but quickly regained his footing.

Tom could hear the sounds of the fight from the other side of the door, but he couldn't do anything to help. He gritted his teeth and punched the door, trying to escape.

Meanwhile, Yulia and her father were locked in a fierce battle, each one determined to come out on top. Their movements were a blur as they traded blows, neither one giving up an inch.

The fight continued, each hit harder than the last. Yulia was tiring, her father's strength and experience starting to show. But she refused to give up, she refused to let Tom be harmed. With one final effort, she kicked her father back and delivered a finishing blow, sending him crashing to the ground.

Panting heavily, Yulia walked over to the door and unlocked it, freeing Tom. He looked at her in amazement, "You did it!" he exclaimed.

Yulia smiled, "Of course I did. I won't let anyone hurt you."

The storage room area was filled with the echoes of Yulia's father's laughter as he taunted the two of them. "You two are such a joke," he spat. "Bonding with your food, what a waste of time." And with that, he slowly began to sink into the ground, his body becoming nothing but shadows as he disappeared.

Tom and Yulia stood there, staring at the spot where her father had just been. "Is... is he gone?" Tom asked, his voice with disbelief.

"For now," Yulia replied, with a hint of sadness in her breath. "But he'll be back. He always comes back."

Tom looked at Yulia, taking in the determined look on her face. Despite the fear that still lingered in the room, he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride for her. She was a fighter, through and through.
