Tom jolted awake and hit the roof of the car with a loud thump, causing him to let out a curse. He rubbed his head and looked around, only to see the soul beast cat lying next to him. But this time, it was smaller and much cuter than it was when he was attacking it.

The cat soul beast purred and tilted its head, asking in a feminine voice, "Finally awake, I see? I was getting worried that you wouldn't wake up."

Tom's eyes widened in shock as he stared at the soul beast in disbelief. "You...you can talk?"

The cat soul beast nodded and licked its paw, "Of course I can. I am a soul beast after all. I was just hoping that my new owner wouldn't be you, but the other guy."

Tom raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean? Why wouldn't you want me to be your owner?"

The cat soul beast chuckled and rolled its eyes, "Oh please. You are the last person I would want to be owned by. That other guy, on the other hand, was much more interesting."

Tom scowled, feeling a bit offended. "Excuse me, but I am not just some boring guy."

The cat soul beast just giggled, "Oh, I know. You're the guy who was possessed by a powerful ghoul from 500 years ago. That's what makes it even more amusing."

Tom rubbed the back of his neck, feeling a bit sheepish. He had forgotten all about that little detail. But then again, it wasn't like he had any control over it.

Tom rubbed his head as he tried to process what the cat soul beast was saying. He wasn't exactly an expert on soul sorcery, but he was definitely curious about it now.

"Wait, what do you mean by earth as a medium?" he asked, his eyes fixed on the cat soul beast.

The cat soul beast let out a small purr and said, "Ghouls are able to possess the power of the earth, using it as a medium to control their soul beasts. But since you're not a ghoul, you can't do that. You'll need something else to act as your medium, something you can connect with."

Tom frowned, trying to understand the implications of what the cat soul beast was saying. "So, you're saying I need something like a talisman?"

The cat soul beast nodded its head, its eyes shining with amusement. "Yes, that's exactly it. A talisman that acts as your medium, connecting you with your soul beast and allowing you to control it."

Tom's mind raced as he thought about the possibilities. He could potentially be able to summon and control any soul beast he wanted if he could find the right talisman. But where would he even start looking for one?

The cat soul beast seemed to sense his confusion and let out a small laugh. "Don't worry, I'll help you find a suitable talisman. After all, I wouldn't want to be stuck with someone who can't control me properly."

Tom couldn't help but smile at the cat soul beast's cheekiness. Tom rubbed his eyes and sat up, taking in his surroundings. He was in a car, but where were his friends? Suddenly, he spotted something that made him sit up straight. There, on the seat next to him, was Yulia's comb.

"Where is everyone?" he asked, his voice filled with alarm.

The cat soul beast, who had been lying beside him, looked up with a surprised expression. "They are inside that strange human eating ground," it said, sounding a little confused.

Tom frowned, trying to figure out what the cat was talking about. "What eating ground?"

The cat soul beast sighed, rolling its eyes. "The one called... McFlappys," it said, sounding unsure. "One of them tried to feed me some foul-smelling starch stick."

Tom's eyes widened in horror. "They're at a fast food restaurant?" he asked, his voice rising.

The cat soul beast nodded, its eyes still wide. "Yes, yes. And the food there is not good for soul beasts," it said, sounding a little disgusted.

Tom could hardly contain his laughter. He couldn't imagine Yulia or Erdwin trying to feed a soul beast French fries. He shook his head and opened the car door, eager to get inside and see what his friends were up to.

"Come on, cat," he said, patting the seat next to him. "Let's go see what's going on."

The cat soul beast leapt off the seat and followed Tom inside, its tail swishing excitedly. It was clear that it was going to be an entertaining visit.

Tom walked into the McFlappys restaurant, rubbing his still groggy eyes. He was met with the sight of Yulia and Erdwin, who were engaged in an intense battle over the last French fry. "Hey, that's mine!" Yulia cried out as she reached for the fry, while Erdwin held it high over his head, saying, "Nuh-uh, I called it!"

Mr. Black sat at the table sipping on his milkshake, unaffected by the commotion. He glanced up from his phone and greeted Tom with a nod. "Good morning, Tom."

Tom's arrival caught Yulia and Erdwin off guard, causing them both to jump up, hit their heads on the roof, and tumble back into their seats. "Ow, what the—!" Yulia rubbed her head, while Erdwin moaned in pain.

Meanwhile, the cat soul beast perched on Tom's shoulder, looking at the scene with disbelief. "What kind of stupidity is this? I can't believe I'm witnessing this twice in one day," it said, its voice laced with amusement.

Tom chuckled and shook his head. "Well, it's good to know I'm not the only one who has a talent for hitting their head." He took a seat next to Mr. Black and grabbed a menu. "So, what's for breakfast?" he asked, as the cat soul beast settled on the table, still in disbelief at the scene it had just witnessed.
