Once the little creature had awoke, it was met with brilliance....
A coat as dark as night....
Eyes with no clear destination....
And a beauty so mysterious that the little creature couldn't help but stare in a state of awe....
The majestic creature was just as small as the little one and once it had gotten close enough, it had also, in it's own way...embraced the beauty of them too....

Nights in Snowbringer Vale were dark but the nights in Maybrook City were bright, staggeringly bright, like the streets were littered with the sun. A complete and sound comparison between the two. They were like fraternal twins, born at the same time but hilariously different.
It was their difference which made people so attracted to them, the most populated and esteemed city in the world and the most unknown, isolated town right behind it. The perfect match.
And it was this unlikely match that held a particularly sleeping woman. Encroaching her in a web of endless possibilities, a world that smelled familiar. Yet, evidently, a world that she didn't quite understand.

"Hurry, we don't have much time!" She said in a responsible tone, holding the delicate hand of a slightly smaller girl. They were easily in a hurry, but to where was unknown.
The smaller girl in her hand yawned as she was swiftly escorted. "I'm tired Shari... I don't wanna go on anymore....why are we running anyways...? It's too early to leave, isn't it...?"
"It's....It's...nothing too serious, It's just...if we don't leave now, we'll be super late to meet the others for our daily communion! You don't want that...do you?"
"I guess not..." She said, wiping the looming drowsiness from her eyes. "It doesn't change the fact that it's too early...."
"When we get there, you'll forget you were even tired..." She lovingly responded, a warm smile softening her features.
".... Really?....Okay...."
The two took no time in their brief excursion, methodically weaving through each street, alley and passageway to avoid whatever variable was hot on their tail. Unfortunately, their trail was hot, and their bodies were weak, it took no time for them to be found by their pursuers.
Waves of furious people swarmed their surroundings, encompassing their beings with angered shouts and vile intentions. Soon enough, their world became painted in a deep dark red. A black sea of everlasting sorrows.

The woman woke up with a start, panting hard just as she did loud. Her world came to her spinning like a top as her head pulsed with pain. She winced whilst messaging her temples, hoping to keep the horror of the nightmare at bay. Yet it was too strong, too painful-engulfing her whole.
"Shari?" But in the presence of a bleak reality, called a voice filled with worry, a pang of affection and a fully-fledged coat of gentle care. "Shari are you okay?" The woman turned to look at the man beside her, her mouth dry and her attitude frantic. In the semi-darkness when they'd locked eyes, the woman finally calmed, taking in deep breaths and finally breaking into a worn smile, "I'm fine, I'm fine.... It--was just.... a nightmare."
