Chapter Two
Agatha You BitchThe one thing Stella loved about figure eight was her best friend, Sarah Cameron. She was the most beautiful human Stella has ever had the pleasure of knowing.
Sarah was her soulmate and the girls had this bond that no one could break. It was infinite.
So when said girl asked if she wanted to help her save the mice from getting eaten, she couldn't say no.
The two girls were very childish when together. They were carefree and had beautiful spirits that everyone adored.
The girls were hitting the birds with tennis rackets as the tried to protect the poor baby mice.
"Sarah!" A voice called out and Stella recognized it as Ward Cameron's voice, Sarah's dad and Stella's fathers best friend.
Her family was always very close with the Cameron's. They would go on vacations together and have weekly dinners at each others houses.
Stella was always slightly uncomfortable around the oldest Cameron man. There was something off about him but she chose to ignore it.
"We are busy dad!" Sarah yelled as Stella looked back to see Ward and surprisingly Lana Grubbs.
She hit Sarah which immediately got the girl's attention as she hissed in pain. "What the hell, Sunny!"
The girl rolled her eyes, "something is wrong, Sar," she said as the two looked back. By the way Lana was anxiously picking at her nails and rubbing her eyes constantly, they knew something was very wrong.
The two adults walked up to the girls and Sarah frowned. "Oh, my god. I'm Sarah. I'm so sorry," she shook Lana's hand.
"This is Lana, Scooters wife," Ward said as Stella waved in greeting to the women she frequently saw. "You were storm prepping with him right?"
"Yeah," Sarah said out of breath, "he helped me latch the cabin on the Druthers."
"Last night?"
"Yeah, and then he helped Stella with the Marigold," she said and pointed to the two boats in the distance.
"Wait what?" Ward asked as everyone zoned in on the girl.
"Oh, yeah, I couldn't get the door closed so he loosened the hinges for me," she said as she recalled him being very helpful.
"And did he go out after that?" Ward asked.
"From here?" Sarah asked in confusion. "Are you crazy? There was a hurricane."
"Well," Lana sighed, "did he say where he was going? Like get a phone call or mention anything?"
At this Stella gasped, "he did yeah!" Lana looked at her with hopeful eyes. "He said that he had to go into town and get supplies for this big discovery he was going to make," she recalled his excitement.
"Is be okay?" Sarah asked in concern as Stella grabbed her best friends hand.
"He's probably just hunkered down somewhere," Ward said as he walked Lana away.
The two girls watched them walk off before looking at each other in concern.

Around lunchtime Stella decided to go home and make sure her mother wasn't firing all of their staff and feeding them so they don't die, the usual.
When she walked in through the front door she could immediately hear yelling in the kitchen. Stella followed the sound and found her mom yelling at one of the construction workers, Eli.
Eli and her made eye contact and Stella could tell he was about to lose his shit so she quickly made her presence know.
"Mamà?" Carmen turned her head sharply and grimaced at the sight of her daughter.
"Mi amor, why are you covered in dirt and sweat?" She asked as Eli made a run for it.
"Oh, uh, I was helping Sarah save the mice from the birds," she sheepishly answered as her mother tutted at her.
"Go change and then head back to the Cameron's house. Pack a bags too, I don't want my precious daughter staying in this shit hole," Carmen sharply said and then walked out to the back patio.
Stella sighed before making her way to her bedroom. Sometimes she felt as though her mother was okay again but then she would argue with her husband and that thought seemed a million miles away.
She packed her bag and changed into a purple bikini and her favorite denim shorts before walking down the stairs to grab a snack before leaving.
"Stella!" Her mother called out. "They said the repairs will be done on two days," she mentioned as she walked back into the kitchen. "You will spend those nights with the Cameron's, Rose said it was oaky."
Stella nodded and grabbed and orange from ten fruit basket. "Okay, bye Mamá!" She waved as she left the house.
It was either going to be a fun two nights or a very shitty two nights.
Stella was rooting for the latter.

"Omg, Stel!" Sarah called out as she jumped on top of her best friend that was laying on her bed.
"What?" Stella asked as she pushed Sarah off and sat up.
"Scooter is dead, Top just sent me a text," Sarah said as she showed the text to Stella.
"Oh no, poor Lana," she said with a hand over her mouth.
"Yeah it's terrible," Sarah said as she texted Topper back.
To lift the two girls spirits Stella decided to change the subject.
"So, how are things with you and Topper?" Stella's never really like the boy but he was definitely better than the rest of them. It really seemed like Stella hated everyone but you would understand if you had to grow up with the kooks.
Sarah smiled, "things are going well," Stella was really to hear that. Sarah always had trouble with keeping friends and boyfriends. Sometimes she hated her for what she did to Kiara but Stella couldn't leave Sarah when she was she only person that was actually able to stick around for this long.
"Good. I'm glad, just don't rush into things," Stella said as Sarah grinned.
"I won't. Promise," Sarah held up her pinky and Stella intertwined theirs together as the both kissed their hands before letting go.
Stella was about to say something else when she got a text. She looked at her phone and was surprised to see it was from Kiara.
Kiara and Stella stayed friends after she left the cut. They also stayed friends after Sarah's freak out on Kiara. Their relationship did break that day but not as crazy as her and Sarah's.

I don't speak Spanish so I'm sorry for my shitty translations because let's be honest, five years of Spanish class did not pay off.
