-Lucy POV-
"Solid work today Luce." Maine grins, setting a bottle down on the table in front of me. "Gettin better everyday. At this rate you're gonna be the most in demand netrunner in all Night city."
"You sayin I'm not already?" I smirk, taking a sip of my new drink.
"C'mon now, gimmi a break. I got so many netrunners around you know I can't pick favorites." He drops down into the seat across from me next to Dorio.
"Whateeeevver you say boss."
The past couple weeks have felt like a blur, I don't think I've ever had so much to do in my whole life. From running gigs with the crew, learning from Kiwi and Sasha, to just hanging out with the others whenever we've got down time it's kept me fairly occupied. After the brush between Maine and Taylor things surprisingly took a turn for the better, honestly I couldn't ask for more than what we've already been lucky enough to get. These people were finally starting to feel like friends to me, even T has started to warm up to them, at least enough to let me run the odd job with them by myself.
Though I guess, if anything could be going better it'd be... well. I glance off to the far end of the diner's parking lot to see Sasha sitting with Becca and Pilar as well as a few others. Her and I had gotten pretty close after our chat, we even spend a good amount of time together just hanging out. I've never really had another girl to spend time with and talk to before which has been great, but despite the time that's gone by she still seems to be nervous around Tay. He's mentioned speaking to her since then, even said it seemed like it went well but she still avoids him whenever we're not on a job. I can't say I blame her for still feeling uncomfortable but still, I wish that she'd just hurry up and forgive herself so we could all hangout together.
Glancing back towards the diner I catch sight of Taylor sitting on the hood of his car next to Kiwi. They'd been getting along pretty well recently, not what I expected but it did make sense, they were the two moodiest after all. Not to mention he and Maine were spending a lot of time together, guess that people with the most experience just kind of understand each other and get along, even despite being at each others' throats not to long ago.
"Anyways, you think you'd be up for another job in a day or two Lucy?" Maine asks after wrapping up a conversation with Dorio and taking a swig of his own beer.
"Another one? I dunno Maine, that's three this week, don't you think we can afford to take a break?"
"Damn, already flush with eddies? Must be nice." He laughs before shrugging. "Not gonna force ya, we just got something lined up that we figured you'd be good for. Gonna ask T if he's willing to tag along too."
"Alright, I'll think about it tonight and let you know, but after this I'm on vacation for the next few days."
"Of course, an hour or two of work every couple of days? You must be exhausted livin such a tough life out here."
"Fuck off." I chuckle softly, leaning back in my chair. This was probably the most problematic thing going on in my life right now; I really couldn't ask for better.

-Taylor POV-
"Something weird is going on with Maine and Dorio." Kiwi sighs, blowing a puff of smoke out of the vents of her mask.
"Mom and Dad fighting?"
"Not like that, they're just... off."
