"How many more do you need to catch up choom?" Becca shouts as she continues to fire away into the crowd, shredding the maelstrom goons in a hail of lead one after the other with a practically deranged grin.
"You kidding? I haven't even been trying. It's all you Becc's" I shrug, blasting a straggler in the face with my own iron as he attempts to flank around the side of the two of us. One by one the remaining gangoons drop to the floor in bloody heaps until the only ones left are us.
"C'mon T, it's no fun if you're not even gonna play along." She slugs me in the arm before shouldering her weapon.
"Looked like you were havin plenty of fun to me." The two of us made our way out of the building together, meeting Sasha and Pilar near the exit. "You two get the data?"
"Easily." Sasha flashes a data shard and a grin, almost skipping towards the car.
Things had been going well in the days since my secret got out of the bag, and everybody seemed to be taking it better than I could of hoped. No one was pressuring me to use my sandevistan or asking me to be any different than what I've already been, it was as though nothing had changed. Yet there was a sort of weight lifted off my shoulders having the people around me know, and knowing I could trust them.
Maine and Dorio were spending a fair amount of time intergrading into the Afterlife, they were taking to it so well that they'd already managed to scrape together enough eddies to pay off her sister's bills. Now adays it was back to business as usual, splitting off into smaller groups to run jobs. I'd mostly help out whenever I was asked and Luce was starting to hang around with Kiwi more and more, picking up any tricks she had to share. In the short time we'd been running with this group I could already see an incredible improvement, and given all the skill she'd had before that was saying a lot. And to top it all off Sasha finally seems to have relaxed around me again. The events at the warehouse really helped her move on from the little confrontation we had in the past. Though, a near death experience to forgive yourself is a little bit much I'm at least glad she's not stressing about it anymore.
After piling into the car together the four of us began making our way back towards Turbo, and while the rest of them began casually chatting I managed to slip back into my own thoughts, finally having some down time to take mental inventory for the first time in a while. Pretty much my only concern now was Lucy; The chat with Maine the other night bringing up that little bit of the past really pricked at her, she hasn't said anything to me about it but it was likely only a matter of time now.
On that same note was my body, glancing down at my hands you could hardly see it, but the faintest sign of a tremor shook my finger tips periodically. This wasn't something new, it had happened plenty of times before, and if this was any indication then the phantom pain would be hot on the heels of the shakes. I should go see Simon the next chance I get before it get's out of hand.

-Lucy POV-
"You seen Taylor around Luce?" Dorio asks, her and Maine dropping down into seats across from Pilar, Kiwi and I,
"Not since last night? Why what's up?"
"Choom's been dippin out on us a lot lately, only shows up for a job here and there then ghosts." Maine sighs, scratching his head. "And here I thought we were startin to win em over."
"Oh that?" I can't help but smile. Normally I'm the one stressing out about stuff like this, now it all felt so silly to me after having gone through it a handful of times. "I wouldn't worry about it. Tay's just been popping by his ripper's to get some stuff handled. He'll be back to normal in a few days."
