Chapter 11: Let's give Nefera a taste of her own medicine.

    When the Twins walked through the portal that Sunday, during normal Monster High class hours when they knew that the ghouls and mansters would be in class, they came prepared. From witnessing Nefera's endless bullying of Cleo through several of the private Eek-Toks she had sent them, and from their own unfortunate encounter with her the other day, they knew that they had to help Cleo out somehow. Not to mention that Nefera had bullied Heather, and they wouldn't stand for that.
    Its not that they saw Cleo as friend, but she did help them when they had first explored Monster High, and as siblings, they found it tragic that Cleo and Nefera had so much hatred for each other. If they could use their sabatoge skills to knock some sense into Nefera, they were going to do it.
    While exploring Monster High, they had also noted the areas of the school where the security cameras failed to reach. This was important because they didn't want Headless Headmistress Bloodgood catching them and realizing that they were Normies or punishing them in this particular dimension, as punishments here were more grusome than any possible punishments at Shadow High.
    Veronica had hacked into the security cameras in order to capture Nefera's every move so that she could upload the footage onto the lipstick thumb drive that she had in her purse. Veronica also had her usual pink bubblegum and a pack of gum in an exclusive flavor that was the same color as the floor in the Monster High hallways, so that Nefera wouldn't be able to notice the gum in advance. Naomi's bag held their laptop that they could watch and upload the footage on.
Veronica also had plans to leave her chewed up gum in one of Nefera's favorite hallways for her to step on it. She was going to mix it with superglue to make sure that it ruined Nefera's gold heels that she was so proud of. The gum she was using for this was the exclusive flavor that was the same color as the floor, making it difficult to see for anyone who wasn't looking for it.
    Cleo had no idea of their plan, but the Twins knew that Cleo was going to love the outcome.
    First, the Twins prepared their laptop with the footage in one of the hidden corners of an old closet where the security cameras didn't reach. They worked in silence over the next hour as Veronica hacked into the Monster High security cameras and plugged the thumb drive in to record the footage.
    Then Veronica carefully put on some thin gloves to protect her hands and nails, and then spit out the gum that was the same color as the floor that she had been chewing on and mixed it with the superglue. She then carefully and silently crept along the blind spots that the security cameras didn't reach and planted the gum in the spot where Nefera liked to stand and bully people.
    Naomi now regretted teasing Veronica about her massive collection of chewing gum, as in that instance, Veronica having chewing gum in that particular color had proven to be very useful.
    The Twins then hid in the closet watching the footage from their laptop as the ghouls and mansters exited the classrooms and entered the hallways to go to lunch.
On the footage, the Twins watched as Nefera posed in her usual spot to torment Cleo as she left class, and the gum stuck right to her expensive gold heels.
    On the footage, when Cleo exited the classroom she was in, they saw on the footage as Cleo began to laugh at Nefera, noticing the gum stuck to her heels. Nefera began to scream at Cleo as she continually tried but failed to remove the gum from her shoes. Cleo and Lagoona then went to lunch as Nefera made her way to the bathroom to try to remove the gum. But as soon as other ghouls and mansters noticed the gum, they would laugh at Nefera, or if anyone tried to point it out to help her, Nefera would lash out at them.
    The Twins couldn't help but high-five and laugh maniacally to themselves. Their plan was working perfectly! They didn't even have to humiliate Nefera, because she was already humilliating herself by overreacting. Cleo had already sent them a video of it that she had posted on her Eek-Tok account, and the video was apparently blowing up in views. Their work here was done and they began to pack up their stuff.
    Before Naomi and Veronica returned to the Monster High attic, they uploaded the footage from the security cameras onto the lipstick thumb drive. They then slipped it into Cleo's purse when she wasn't looking along with a handwritten note written in purple ink in their beautiful cursive that read, "This thumb drive contains all the footage of Nefera's bullying and sabatoge that she did during the week. I hope that this helps you somehow and go ahead and show it to Bloodgood."
    Then they walked past Nefera in the hallway, still annoyed at the way that she had insulted them at the Coffin Bean the other day. Their walk then became a perfect modeling strut as they flipped their long dark hair and Veronica casually popped her gum. Nefera's gold eyes filled with fear and then anger as she saw the bubblegum pink gum that Veronica had just popped from her mouth.
    "OH MY RA! I'll get you, you stupid vampires! Nobody hurts me like that! And these heels are worth a fortune, you know, so just wait until my dad sues you for what you did to them!", Nefera screamed at them, tears forming in her gold, hatered filled eyes.
    When the Twins saw Nefera's eyes, they couldn't help but be reminded of Laurel's meltdown at the audition for "Wonder Models" all those years ago, because they could have sworn that Laurel had that same hateful gaze and insane look in her eyes as Nefera did at that very moment.
    Through her tears, Nefera began to chant something in Ancient Egyptian, an ancient curse that only worked on vampires. The curse was meant to make them lose their physical beauty over the next 7 days and for their hair to fall out over 7 days. Strangely though, the curse refused to target the Twins, as if they had some kind of magical protection against it.
    After feeling exhausted from reciting the failed curse, Nefera decided to retreat. She was so fed up with everything that had happened that day, and even though it could all be written off as a coincidence, she knew deep down that those nasty vampire twins were behind everything.

    When they went back through the portal, they couldn't help but manical laugh. Heather quickly took notice of this and wondered what they had just done.
    "I know that laugh. What did you two do?", Heather asked, suspicious. She had specifically told them not to bully the monsters, yet here they were, laughing as if they had committed their greatest act of sabatoge since Rainbow Vision.
    "We simply gave Nefera a taste of her own medicine.", Naomi said, once her and Veronica had finally finished laughing.
    They then showed Heather the footage on the laptop, before deleting it after saving it to another thumb drive for safekeeping, laughing at the part where Nefera stepped on Veronica's gum and superglue mixture and screaming as she tried to pull it off her gold heels. Heather felt relieved and disgusted at the same time. Yes, Nefera had bullied her as well, but she was a Narcissist, so she had expected it. She still couldn't help but smile as Nefera screamed from the camera footage though. There was also a lot of footage of Nefera targeting specifically Cleo with her bullying, with Cleo struggling to stand up for herself.
    When Heather had finished going through the footage, she asked, "Why did you do that? You were supposed to lay low! This was supposed to be a mental health break for you two!"
    "We felt bad for Cleo and did something to help her deal with her Nefera situation. Is that really so wrong?", Veronica asked, her tone indicating that she and Naomi felt a sense of justice at what they had done.
    Heather sighed, "Even if its sabatoge to help another person, I just don't know if it was the right thing to do. But I have to admit that Nefera definately had it coming."
And with that the Twins and Heather shared a manical laugh together before returning to their dorms for the night.
