[bad's pov]

I was at home napping when I was woken up to my phone ringing. I quickly shuffle out of bed and grab my phone, looking at the caller. It was the mayor. She only calls when someone's in trouble, so as much as I don't want to, I pick up.

"Hello?" "HALO!! There's a robbery at the bank on 14th street, and they have hostages!" She screamed, frantic. "Why don't you just call the police? This is more up there alley." I responded, still half asleep.

"You don't understand! The robber isn't just some poor shmuck trying to feed their family after living their life struggling in a corrupt system, it's DIAMOND!" She explained.

CRAP.

Okay, I'm wide awake now. "I'll be there in 3 minutes." I stated, hanging up the phone and jumping up to change into my supersuit.

I rush out of my house, get out the front door, and quickly soar up, speedily flying above the city buildings. I see the bank, surrounded by police, news reporters, and bystanders, and lower myself to the ground. The police tell me all the details about what's going on inside, and I turn to walk in.

People standing by were concerned about me just walking in instead trying to sneak around, but I know diamond. I've dealt with him before, and I know for a fact he won't hurt me. He's had opportunities in the past, and never did more damage than bruises and maybe a few cuts deep enough for me to need stitches. I've never understood why.

I mean, his powers aren't that grand. He can harden his skin to be rock-solid, and can make gems out of nothing. But even if those are his only abilities, he's crafty. He knows how to manipulate people, how to alter machine programming, how to get around detection. He doesn't do much with it though. I wonder why.

No time to ask myself that now. I open the doors, and begin looking for him. It doesn't take long for me to find him, sitting behind the main desk, waving a pistol around. He looks up and sees me.

"Halo! You made it!" He smiles, setting his gun down. He stands up, and points at me. "Hah! I told you guys he'd be here!" He cheers, looking around at his hostages. "You'd never miss a chance to see me, huh badboy?" He quipped, laughing.

I blushed. 'I'm so glad I'm wearing a mask right now.' I hate when he calls me that. He's done it countless times before, and every time it makes my stomach flip. There's also the fact that it's kinda close to my real name, bad, and I'm worried he somehow found out who I am. He probably would've told everyone if he knew though.

"Yeah yeah, very funny diamond. What are you doing this time? Planning on trapping yourself in quartz again?" I grinned. He stepped back a little, and blurted out "THAT ONLY HAPPENED ONCE!"

I just laughed. "Okay, okay, what do you really want diamond?" I asked, watching him walk around the bank's counter. "Hmm. I don't know. I was just bored."

Bored?!

Are you kidding me??

"Really diamond?! You were just bored?! So you decided to HOLD PEOPLE AT GUNPOINT IN A BANK?" I yelled, annoyed. He thought for a second, before just shrugging and nodding.

God why haven't I killed this man by now?

At this point I'm just agitated more than anything. I was woken up from a nap after a long week of fighting crime, just to have to come and deal with this annoying, incompetent, manipulative, adorable, muffinhead.
