Roger stepped on a wide road and was greeted by a strong gust of wind. He shivered from the cold and covered himself with his cloak. The man wasn’t interested in meeting with Tasdar, so he decided to wait a little longer and go to the Crystal Palace first to find its owner. The boy was his biggest problem and it annoyed him to the core. Roger anxiously wanted to teach him a lesson and get the situation under control before things took a turn for the worse.

After looking around and making sure no people were walking in the area, he teleported near the Crystal Palace. A massive crag stood in front of him, and he laughed at the thought that even the strongest spells couldn’t hide this place. He knew about the secret tunnel for a long time, and whether it was the palace walls or the crag from the outside, he would get inside anyway.

“Come out, I know you’re there!” Roger shouted at the top of his lungs and raised his hand to where the door should be. A red burst of magical light came from his fingers, splitting the crag and causing him to shoot again. Pieces of rocks scattered in all directions.

He waited a few more minutes, but the ground shook and the gate finally opened. A long-haired boy looked at Roger with frightened eyes.

“Who are you?” he asked in confusion. “Do we know each other?”

“You probably don’t know me, but I know exactly who you are. Neptune, aren’t you?”

The boy’s stomach lurched as he felt mockery in his voice, but he tried to pretend he wasn’t afraid. “What do you need?”

Roger narrowed his eyes, a sly smile forming on his face. “Ravenna has already been here, right?”

“What are you talking about?”

“I know more than you think. You won’t get away with telling her the truth.”

“How do you know about me and Ravenna?”

Roger laughed and took a step closer, his eyes flashing red in the night. The boy backed away from the gate, preparing to defend himself from upcoming danger.

“Are you sure you want me to tell you?” The man leaned closer, willing him to take note of every word he said. “I’m much closer than you think. I can see your every mistake.”

“Why don’t you want me to tell her the truth?” Neptune tried to avoid his fierce gaze. “You should know that the prophecy is inevitable. I didn’t choose my destiny.”

Roger’s taunting laughter rippled through the air as he deftly grabbed the child by the collar. A hard blow to the chest made the boy scream. His eyes dimmed out, but Roger ruthlessly pinned him against the crag.

“Now, listen carefully!” he shouted right in his face. “Ravenna lives in my house, but there is no way Tasdar can find that out, or I’ll pay with my life. If you want to stay alive, you better get out of here as soon as you can, because you’ll pay with your life before I do!”

Neptune spat scornfully, “Why should I listen to you?”

Roger gritted his teeth, almost losing his temper, but his hands slowly relaxed. The boy stumbled to his feet, his tangled black hair falling all over his face.

“Don’t play with my patience. Tasdar chose me to be his servant for a reason.”

“That’s not a reason to be afraid of you,” Neptune retorted, reaching for the belt to draw his sword, but it wasn’t there. He tried to stand up, but Roger kicked him in the stomach.
