Ravenna was already asleep, but suddenly her eyes opened wide.

The child was born from a demon’s seed... The child will be a portal until the world ends...

Moonlight streamed through the wide-open window and a long shadow fell on the floor. But the girl didn’t see it, her eyes fixed on the moon, which was like a foreign object in the sky.

When the Blood Moon rises again, the portal of evil will be opened!

Ravenna quickly got out of her bed and turned her gaze to the magic mirror. A vague black mist swirled around, and soon the girl noticed something glowing red in the glass.

“Who are you?” she asked the mirror. “Can you hear me?”

But nobody answered, only whispers kept repeating the same words. Ravenna felt an insane urge to touch it. It was like a strange flutter inside her, like a force making her reveal herself, to show all her power. Unable to control it, the girl slowly reached out, placing her palm on the glass. As her fingers touched the red diamond-shaped crystal, the mark on her forehead somehow reacted to it as if she had been struck by a mild electric shock. She quickly pulled back and touched her forehead, gasping in surprise.

At the same instant, the strange feeling disappeared and the mirror stopped talking. Ravenna shoved it into a drawer and decided to tell Neptune what happened. It was hard to fall asleep. She kept looking in the direction of the mirror, but it seemed calm, nothing more strange occurred, and she finally managed to close her eyes.

In the morning, however, Neptune didn’t show up. The girl was already used to meeting him on the way to school. She waited a few more minutes, hoping he would still come. He might have lingered somewhere else, but all that opened up in front of her was an empty field. Something heavy like a boulder fell on Ravenna’s heart. She knew something was wrong and her friend acted so strangely for a reason. She couldn’t concentrate in class, wanted to escape, but tried to be patient and only after lunch grabbed the mirror and ran out the door without feeling the ground under her feet. But there was nothing to worry about. As usual, she found her friend in the library.

“Neptune, I was so worried about you!” she exclaimed in a tired voice. “Why didn’t you come to me?”

“Sorry, I’ve been busy,” he smiled guiltily as he leaned over the table.

Ravenna slowly moved closer. “I have something to tell you,” she began a little shyly. “A strange thing happened yesterday. That mirror you gave me... glows black and some unclear words are coming out of it.”

Neptune held an old piece of paper in front of him and pressed a large magnifying glass in his hand, trying to read something.

“Do you hear what I’m saying?” Ravenna asked when he didn’t respond to her words.

“Yes, of course I do,” he nodded.

“What are you doing here?”

“Trying to figure out what the location is here,” the boy said. “It’s an ancient map, it’s exhausting to read...”

“Can you explain everything now?”

“About what?” he frowned.

“About the mirror you gave me yesterday. It’s kind of weird, like it wants... to talk to me?”
