Mythic: Gray (5/10)

User-friendly: 5/10
Damage: 5/10
Survivability: 6/10
Likelihood of defeating Edgar: 2/5
Extremely reliant on super to get out of his range. Attack delay makes him extremely weak in melee combat.
Box-breaking abilities: 1/5
Very slow and doesn't have any splash damage.
Solo Showdown: 5/10 he wasn't meant for solos lol

He's an amazing brawler in 3v3 meta rn, but he obviously wasn't built for solos. Super is useful though. I doubt you'll be able to get him past 750 in solo, so get some teammates lol.

Best build:
Gadget: Walking Cane
Gray's next hit from Finger Pistol shoots a walking cane which pulls in enemies back by a bit.
Gray's next attack pulls enemies back. It goes through walls and pulls enemy closer the farther the projectile travels. Damage doesn't scale with powercubes though :( this one is better cuz wallbreaking is kinda useless in solos since you're always running around. Walking cane is useful for killing low-hp people behind walls.

Star power: New Perspective
When Gray or his Allies use Doors, they recover 1000 hit points.
He heals 1000 every time he teleports. Super useful, especially when you're running away from assassins. You also get one second longer in the storm. Fake Injury is kinda useless tbh.

Gears: shield.
Yep. He's already kind of squishy compared to tanks (solo meta),  so shield. Shield is always good. Anything will work for the second slot.

Gray really wasn't meant for solos. His below-average dmg output, shot delay, and squishiness make for poor performance in endgames and 1v1s. Gray does have a redeeming factor though, and that's his super, which is that only way to get rid of assassins (but in all honesty you're probable gonna die if several buzzes/primos jump on you).

Main Attack: Finger Pistol
Ranged attack that hits single target and deals 1740 dmg maxed. Gray does have minor shot delay, so in close-range situations without a super you're pretty much toast. His main attack used to be ridiculously hard to spot (to the point where you were getting fired at and sometimes still didn't notice) but then they reworked the animations, which is in my opinion, a nerf in disguise. Finger Pistol also has this nice pew pew sound effect.

Super: Dimensional Doors
Use it to either chase down fleeing brawlers on low health or running away from assassins. Keep distance. He charges the super in four hits. If you do push him in showdown, prioritise getting the super to avoid vulnerability (kind of similar to Janet).
(His super got nerfed recently, but it doesn't really matter cuz you have no teammates).

Counters and how to not die
Every single assassin, close range fights, Max, Buzz, Primo, all brawlers with stunning capabilities, and uh pretty much everything in showdown 🤡 I figure your best bet is to team with ranged people like Piper and Bea and hope for the best.
Play passive and prepare to spam super the moment you get attacked (since there's a really, really small delay when it teleports you- sometimes when I tap the super, it spawns the portal but I still die 😭).

How to team:
Again, ranged brawlers are friends. Tanks are never gonna accept you except if they're clowning (which never happens in sweaty games) and everybody will take a chance to kills someone since it means they place higher.

Go for Double Trouble and possibly the new map (Hard Limits).

Double Trouble:
Solid open map. Diversity in brawlers, no specific meta, and most importantly of all acceptance of multiple brawler teaming (although I have heard talk about a Sprout meta coming around the corner, which I might cover later).

Hard Limits:
I don't have much experience on this map yet, so take everything I am saying with a grain of salt. For now, there's is no meta in Hard Limits. Brawlers are very diverse and most people seem to be exploring this map. Abundance of indestructible walls and an interesting middle layout makes this map unique. Might cover this later.

How to counter:
He's very weak without a super at close range due to his low burst damage, so assassins will work fine. Pay attention to his projectiles. Don't hide behind a wall if you're low hp because his walking cane gadget will disorient and most definitely cause you to get killed.

Dominating/ leading brawler:
Hhh basically the same as most other brawlers except you have to pay a lot more attention since you're so squishy and easy to kill. People will probably have half a mind to backstab you.
Ya

Metas
Doesn't exist ;-; join the Piper and Bea meta

It's been a month and I'm back. Can't believe we hit 100 reads lol.

I lost my main acc 😐 so I'm playing on my mini for now. Might push r30 Shelly.

Excited for new season :D can't wait to see how RT will break the meta. Hope they buff Willow so I can play her. Can't wait to walk people into the smoke.
