“So.. how are you feeling now? I heard the physician checked you again today?”, Taehyung asks at the door.

It’s already been two days since Jungkook is completely on bed rest.

“I am better my lord.. the physician said I can walk for a little while now..”, Jungkook replies bowing his head from the bed.

“And the cuts?”, Taehyung further enquiries while he walks the room.

“they are also healing..”, Jungkook answers.

“Hmmm..”, Taehyung just hums not knowing what to ask next, “Walk then..”, he finally says.

“What??”, Jungkook almost choked in the air with the sudden request.

“I want to see you walk.. now.. since the physician has already approved.. it shouldn’t be a problem.. unless you have forgotten how to walk in two days..”, Taehyung says in a straight face.

Jungkook moves his body down from the bed slowly. He puts down his good foot first, then slowly the injured one. After that he carefully stands up. It’s almost painless to him… well almost.

“Good.. now try to walk”, Taehyung says as he examines Jungkook’s every move.

Jungkook slowly puts the injured foot forward, then puts pressure on it to move forward the other foot, he stumbles a little in the process but manages not to fall. He repeats the same process and walks while limping, huffing and deeply exhaling. He takes four to five steps forward before he stops.

“Tired already? So much so for a boy who is practically raised in the fields.. working all day and night..”, Taehyung taunts with a smirk.

Jungkook looks up huffing. Well, if he is completely honest, he is absolutely confused, scared and frustrated when it comes to the king. He doesn’t know why, but the man’s words and actions always seem to contains multiple layers of meanings, which makes him frustrated not understanding the actual intension behind it.

He just takes a deep breath and moves forward again, aiming towards the bright window in front of him. Well if he has to walk, he should better enjoy some views outside as well, right?

With a bit difficulty he finally reaches the window. With a big smile on his face, he looks outside sliding the white curtains. The sun rays fall on his porcelain skin, making it almost shine.
