“I know.. th..that you may n..not be..believe what I am a.. about to..to say… but… I want…to tell you this….anyway…”, Jungkook continues.

He looks up at Taehyung who is looking back at him patiently, his right hand is still in his hold, smoothing its surface slowly, providing him the unspoken courage to speak.

“I…I don’t kn..know.. how.. to say this… exactly… or.. how you..will re..react .. to it… but… I’m.. thing is…I’m … I’m from… I think..I believe….I’m … from thefuture…”, Jungkook closes his eyes tightly once he feels the comfortable smoothening on his right hand being stopped abruptly.

'It’s the end! He does not believe it. Ofcourse he doesnot .. who in his right mind would believe in this absurdity..’, Jungkook thinks in his mind, ‘It’s only a matter of time now.. the King will order my death sentence.. not that I’m upset.. I hardly have anyone to miss… or anyone to miss me … though I feel bad for Somi and Soyeon… they did a lot for me… and I couldn’t even help them back with a tiniest deed..’

“What are you saying… care to elaborate, please?”, Jungkook hears a calm but controlled voice near his face.

He opens his eyes to discover the king’s sharp eyes on him, measuring him up with a frown on his face.

“I.. don’t know how to..”, Jungkook replies honestly.

“Why don’t you start from the beginning? How did you come in contact with Lady Soyeon? Why did you accept to help her with this lie? What was your purpose in it?”, Taehyung asks.

Jungkook sighs.

“About a few months ago…. Lady Somi found me on the beach of Ya-gora..”, Jungkook starts, “According to her.. I was lying there almost on my verge to death… it seems as if the sea had thrown me from a far away land.. She took me to her mansion.. hiding me from Soyeon … if she had known it before… the story would have been different…”, Jungkook sighs..

Somi thought she would keep me a secret and help me get well… but once she realised that I could not remember who I was after I woke up… she had to pitch Soyeon in.. and.. let’s just say she wasn’t very thrilled… and.. should I mention that she looks pretty scary in anger?”, Jungkook shivers, “But anyways.. she realised it was far to late to do things according to the book without raising any suspicion.. so she decided to keep me a secret until I regain my memory… but.. words got out somehow.. and Lady Lalisa asked for an explanation… once Soyeon realised that everything she had done so far to protect was going to be lost.. she took the only decision she could to us both.. and I.. I decided to stay by her side as she did for me all along.. I decided to help her create a whole new truth..”, Jungkook looks at Taehyung, “But it’s all in vain anyway…looks like I can not repay her at all… can you please do a favour for me, my king? I understand if you decide to behead me… but.. please don’t hurt Somi or Soyeon… the only misdeed they did was saving my life…”, he requests.

“If you didn’t remember who you are.. then how can you say that you are from the future?”, the King asks.

“I started to regain my memory in bits and pieces.. through some sudden voices or scenes.. or sometimes through dreams… it was very haphazard.. It took me some time to put all the fragments together.. and once I did.. that was the only possible explanation of it..”, Jungkook replies.

“You mean other than you being a nut case?”, Taehyung raises an eyebrow.

“I…”, Jungkook pouts, visibly upset.

“Do you happen to have any proof of what you are saying now?”, Taehyung asks while doing his best to ignore the visible pout.

“I… um… I don’t think so… oh.. wait… my satchel….”, Jungkook tries to get up but is sat back down by two long arms.
