4. Mother's love

“JUNGKOOOK…”

“Mom!!”, Jungkook is shocked to see Lena waving at him on his way home from his school. She has been waiting for him away from the crowd. There is no way she can leave her only son on this special day.

Lena runs towards Jungkook waiting other side of the main road outside the school, something shining glazed in her hands.

She runs through the crosswalk as the signal turns red. There is a huge proud smile on her lips. And ofcourse she is proud. She was almost going back to her work when she met the mailman on the street. Usually she never gets any letter unless its about bills, so she was expecting it to be something like that when the mailman handed it over.. But it wasn’t. Jungkook has been selected by the most prestigious college in the country and it’s the acceptance letter! Now, how on earth could she just go back and wait for Jungkook to return?!

Excited, she runs to the nearby store. She was thinking to make a nice dinner to celebrate her son’s graduation, but now, it has to be something more than that…

Jungkook smiles back to his mom. It’s not everyday he gets to see Lena this happy. Happiness has left their lives long ago. He can see his mom glowing in the sunlight.. her aura reflects a perfect queen within her.. a kind beloved mother.

Jungkook was mesmerized, lost in his thoughts when he felt it.. the shaking of his body..a loud crack.. and then the noise.. and its coming close. He looks towards the source and turns to a statue. Without a second thought he jumps on the road and starts running.

Lena is stuck on her track in middle of the road looking upwards as the newly built building now breaks in half, falls nearer and nearer.

“MOM!!!!!!!!!”, Jungkook shouts as he jumps in the air to save her.

Lena feels her feet in the air for a moment as two strong hands grabs her. Her head comes across something hard and then she can feel the solid earth under her. There are loud noises everywhere as the cars start beeping, people are running, asking for help. Blood, bricks and broken metals have covered the entire road. Lena hears a loud ringing in her head as tears start to flow.

“Mom??”, Jungkook shakes Lena harshly, “SOMEBODY HELP!!”, He screams. But it’s a disaster, everyone there needs help for themselves, nobody responds.

Jungkook sees the students, parents and teachers from the school running out to help. They halt when their eyes fell on him.

“He has not a scratch on him”, Mike whispers.

“Ju..ng…koo”.

Jungkook quickly turns to his mother.
Lena stares into his teary eyes and put the acceptance letter in his hands.

“R…u…n…”, Lena whispers before she drifting away into darkness.

“MOM…MOM…MOMM….MOOOMMMMMM…MOOOOMMMMMM…MOOOMMMMM……MMOOMMMMMM…MOOOMMMMMMMM..MMOOOOOOOOOMMMM..”, Jungkook keeps on shaking the lifeless body, “MOOOOOOOOOOOMM…”

“JUNGKOOK!!!!!!”, He felt a strong hand on his shoulder, “COME WITH ME”.

He feels two arms pulling him violently when every muscle of his body refuses to leave.

“It’s okay my boy”. He feels those same arms hugging him tight.

“Everything is gonna be okay”.

And Jungkook knows it’s a lie. The only thing that was ‘okay’ in his life is lying dead behind him. He body shakes violently.

“It’s okay”. And he breaks down in his professor’s arms.
