The time of you sitting in the same caffee waiting for the target to arrive has come, Kyle was waiting just a few buildings away from yours in case anything went down the wrong hole. But nothing has happened. The target hasn't even arrived yet.
As if some sort of prayers has been heard the door opened revealing the man, a wide smile covering his lips. He quickly made his way over to the table you were seated at, occupying the seat in front of you. "My apologies dear, I had to get some business done"
"Oh no it's fine I have already ordered some Tea if thats fine with you, I just didn't know how long you were going to be taken" You send an apologetic smile in his direction.
You had started a normal civil conversation trying to get less important intel about the men. The further you went in the conversation the more suspicious he became you could tell by his body language. Just now it happened again, you asked about his business and his eyebrows furrowed confused because the question was totally out of context. The more seconds passed the higher your level of nervousness grew, it was the first real mission, and it was about to go all downhill.
To your luck Price and Kyle were listening to the conversation through a microphone that was placed in your ear, A good way for them to communicate with you. Just less effective in such a crowded area as the target's voice was mostly overplayed by the other people.
"Captain, He is growing suspicious. We have enough identification that he is the man we are searching for. We need back up to get him behind a locked door" Kyle spoke through his intercom, patiently awaiting an answer from his captain.
"I'll send Ghost and Soap your way, You and Soap get the target. Ghost and Python will give you back up"
"Copy that captain"
You heard the conversation in your ear, nodding to yourself as a form of agreeing with the plan. "Are you okay?" The target asked, he slowly stood up. "You know I don't think you are the right one for me, i'll leave". Without sparring a second he grabbed his jacket and made his way out.
Unknowing for you, he had heard what Price said. turning his blood ice cold.
You also stood up following him, just as he tried to get in his car, you crashed onto him pulling the target to the ground. A few seconds of combat broke out before you eventually managed to get him under control. Arms and legs hung around the target keeping him in place.
"Python to Price, Target is secure"
The rest went over faster than you had thought, Kyle walked over helping you with keeping the man in place. He sat you and the wanted men in the backseat of the car Kyle came with and bought him to an exfil location where Ghost and soap already awaited your arrival.
"There we are, can't believe such a highly wanted men gives up so easily" Ghost spoke up grabbing him, to take care of the rest.
"Good job you too, your stuff will be bought back to base you can exfil with us." Soap patted your shoulder before following Ghost back inside.
"That was fucking insane, did you see how I grabbed him when he tried to get away. And then you came over and gave him the whole hes a hostage speech" The words exploding out of your mouth, making Kyle chuckle in return. "It was fucking insane, we're a good team Rookie"
You and Kyle had continued to discuss the mission and how 'Insanely good' both of you were, leaving Soap and Ghost amused chuckling. Your first mission in 1-4-1 was over, and it went a lot better than you had expected. There was something fishy about the target though, he had just blindly trusted a woman to meet and then didn't even try to really get away.
That was now in the Hands of the more experienced to handle you could lay back and relax. Arrived in the base you had been greeted by Price, who had hugged both you and Kyle for a good minute at least. "Soap and I will talk to the guy and then inform the rest of you later on."
You only nodded before an arm wrapped around your shoulder taking you to the kitchen, it was Gaz a smirk plastered on his face. "All wrapped up an done, I really thought it would be harder than that i can't lie."
"To be fair me too, there is something fishy about how easy it was" You met his gaze. The brown of his eyes soft against your own. His facial features eased up a bit as his hand was firmly placed on your hip. "Don't worry about it we are in good hands here, lets play some games how about call from duty? I heard the new season dropped while we were gone". You just nodded still holding contact with his eyes.
After grabbing one of the controllers and playing with Gaz for what felt like hours you felt a burning in your eyes. Not used to looking at a screen for that amount of time any more. "I need a break from this". Marking your words you stood up an walked to the small kitchen that was cornered in the room. "You want a beer?" You asked looking back at Kyle.
"Ya sure can't hurt"
