a/n: i got my university subject outlines and i am stress. I should also state that in this extended universe I have an agents of shield book (aka Clara my baby) which means aos is canon. that means there will be mentions of the inhuman crisis, of daisy, and my continuous self-deprecating jokes regarding
clara and wanda. (it's a running inside joke - I accidentally made her powers similar and now I just mock it and run with it because it's so much effort to explain the difference between an inhuman and a mutant. but it works, because the amount of copy-cats in the comics ... it's funny to me now).
it will also mean I will mention characters such as: melinda may (the cavalry) fitz-roy-simmons (roy is my oc), director mace, maybe grant ward I dunno, the REAL mockingbird and shield returning to the surface as a legitimate agency as it does in s4 of the show.
it will also explain the start of age of ultron because that links to agents of shield.
it also means that there will be spoilers for the show if you haven't seen
it. you should. daisy is the best thing to ever happen and she better be in secret invasion istg. also yo-yo is underrated. mack is the best director and fitz saved fury's life. also my girl jemma - my 'j' name sister.

anyway, because of this, I will do explanations in author's notes for any references to agents of shield so be sure to look there at the end of a chapter if you don't understand anything. it will also save me answering questions over and over

LITTLE COOL THING TO KNOW: there is a villain called the viper in the marvel comics who is a mutant. dr. green. she dresses up in a lot of green (lol the comics). pam contrasts this character as the 'red viper' and literally red is her colour. it is an ongoing motif.
I was originally gonna call her the red back, which is the Australian version of the black widow because for me it would be a joke that people just called her the Aussie Black Widow, and another inside joke for me towards copy-cat characters in the marvel comics. especially since this is a rogers fic and there is literally a captain britain (and a captain Australia lol), but half of the people that read mcu fanfics don't look into this stuff as much as I do and I'd get shit for it so we went with the viper reference.
