Chapter 36

Toni's POV

While remaining on the phone with Taylor I texted Katie to book one ticket to Tennessee and four tickets back to New York.

"Toni you don't need to come.. you have to handle the Theo situation. Matteo needs you too."

"No I don't!" Matteo yelled as he barged into the room.

"Well I do need you but I also need my shoes but also my dad told me to always remain brave no matter what and he would want my mom to be happy and help whomever she can."

"And Ryder told me he'll teach me how to get a girlfriend." Matteo rambled as he finally picked up his shoes and left the room.

"Are you smiling?" I asked as I admired my fiancés features over facetime.

"No." Taylor lied.

"I'm scared Toni it's not breast cancer anymore it's a tumor inside of her brain. And it's not looking good. I mean I can't lose her not yet. Not after everything in my life had finally been going well. And you've got the decision with Theo to worry about as well. How will this work because I'll need to spend more time with my mom, I have lover to promote and then would you be in London for Theo and your dad and then Matteo with school."

"Theos gonna be transported to New York, my parents are moving to the Netherlands to live in the dementia village, Matteo's gonna go to school in the states, and I'd love to spend more time with your mom. Maybe she can even teach me her baking recipes."

"Oh.. I just didn't want to be the reason everyone was being uplifted."

"No no don't be vanidoso." I joked.

"I'll be in Tennessee tomorrow night." I added.

"How's Ollie?" Taylor questioned.

"He's literally trying to lick my toe right now."

"Well I'll let you go back to sleep." Taylor replied.

"I love you babe." I grinned.

"I love you too." Taylor replied.

Later the next day

I walked into Andreas house clutching on to the brownies that I made from her recipe that I stole.

"You're here early!" Taylor greeted.

"Flight landed early." I smiled as I softly kissed her cheek.

"Are those brownies?" Taylor asked.

"Yep I snuck them through customs." I grinned.

"Speaking of that I need to put your moms recipe back." I added as I took off my jacket and sat down next to Taylor on the bench in front of the piano.

"Is she here?" I asked.

"No she took daisy for a walk." Taylor sighed as she rested her fingertips on the piano keys. I knew she wanted to say more but as times progressed I'd learnt that the blonde would eventually say what was on her mind.

"I think she went on that walk to get away from me in true honesty. My constant worrying probably got to her... I mean said at the beginning of your dads diagnosis he had gotten annoyed by your constant prying right?"

"Yeah he told me that he wasn't a girbel." I laughed as I remembered a few years ago when my dad was in a better mental state than right now.

"And then proceeded to tell me that I need to settle down so my mom and him could walk me down the aisle." I added as I recalled my parents wish to walk me down the aisle with my dad on the left and my mom on the right because she claimed she was always right.
