33. The Queen

Days passed and along with it the winter.

Mid February was confusing people with the chillness and hotness.

And same was the matter with Vansh.

He was confusing Shana to such extent she had even used their precious code 'red code' to know what was going on with him but to no avail.

He had ignored it by smiling as if nothing was wrong or troubling him.

He was no more the same Vansh who would joke often or would tease people or the sarcasric one.

He was now the quiet and hardworking one.

" Have you noticed Vansh?" finally, Shana asked Vihaan.

They were sitting in the cafeteria, enjoying the coffee and discussing the project.

Turning the page of the file and taking a sip of the coffee at the same time, Vihaan spoke "No" without turning his attention to Shana.

He did not even bother asking "why?".

It was odd, he did not even bother asking about his brother, whom he love and care so much he would left the most important project.

Not pressing the subject, Shana did not speak more.

But, the urge to call Saaransh was taking a troll on her.

She knew after Vihaan only Saaransh was the person to know about the ongoing mood swings of Vansh but she was not comfortable enough to call him in front of Vihaan.

Vihaan and Saaransh had not talk since their wedding. And Shana did not brought the Saaransh topic in front of Vihaan.

The regret of coming between them was still in her heart , but she did not wish two best friends to not even share a glance with each other.

" Where are you?" Typing a fast message to Saaransh, Shana waited while taking sips of the cold coffe.

"Office..why?" Came the response.

She immediately typed the message "can we meet in the evening?"

Busy in typing, Shana did not notice Vihaan noticing her.

Watching her busy in her phone and typing with fast pace, he could not control asking " Whom are you talking with?"

Shana stopped typing and looked at him unbelievably and spoke staring at him in his eyes"I did not know i have to tell you everything."

Keeping the file on the table, he bend forward and placing putting the elbows on it, spoke" I simply asked whom you are talking, not what you are talking."

" Why does it matter whom i talk?" forgetting Saaransh was waiting for her reply, she questioned back.

Not knowing what wrong he asked, Vihaan took a long breath and spoke slowly " It does not matter but if i want to know what's wrong in telling?"

" Why are you even asking?" getting angry for no reason, Shana spoke angrily.

Trying his best not to let his anger control him, he did not utter a single word. He kept looking at her, though.

Why was she making such a big issue of nothing.

Or was she hiding something?

The suspicion of cheating arise in his mind but he cleared it immediately.

No, Shana would not do that. Even if she might have made some ridiculous rules, she would not ever do it.

He knew she would not have agreed for the marriage if all she wanted was to cheat on him.
