I couldn't believe what I was seeing. What was happening?Alisha and Kiana. Kissing. Right now. In front of me.
I stood there in shock, watching the way they grabbed each other. This evidently wasn't their first time kissing.
Alisha opened her eyes and looked towards me and shrieked, and I flinched. Jesus Christ.
Kiana looked over at me and her eyes widen. Her face is covered in shock, but not fear like Alisha's.
"It's not- we were just- I was just-" Alisha stutters out, her chest heaving. I had never seen her look frightened, never seen her look unsure. Her face was full of panic and I hated it. But I was too shocked to say anything.
Kiana looks between both of us, biting her lip. Unlike Alisha, she seemed somewhat calm. But I could see that my catching them surprised them both.
"Kiana was just- I was-"
"Aliaha," Kiana says softly, looking at her with understanding in her eyes.
Alisha lets out a shaky breath, looking at the ground and crossing her arms. Her eyes were glossed over and I frowned. I didn't want her to feel nervous or scared, especially because of something like this.
I looked between both of them, still shocked.
"This wasn't supposed to happen," Alisha says softly, to herself, "This wasn't supposed to happen," She covers her face with her hands, "Oh my god."
"Alisha," Kiana says again, "It's okay."
Sensing that Alisha wants to be alone I say, "I'll just g-"
"No, don't it's okay," Kiana reassures. "This was going to happen at some point,"
"Hey, hey," Kiana whispers, cupping Alisha's face in her hands, "It's okay,"
Tears begin streaming down Alisha's face and whisper something to Kiana that I can't hear. I hate that she's this upset over something I don't care about.
"She won't," Kiana promises, "This is our best friend, love, we can trust her," Kiana reassures as her thumb wipes her tears. Some of the tension leaves her face with Kiana, but she glances at me with panic still in her eyes.
It takes a few minutes for Alisha to calm down, but with Kiana's helps she can stop crying by taking deep breaths.
"I bet you're so fucking confused," Alisha says to me between sniffles, her lips trembling as she smiles.
I nod slowly, still in shock.
Alisha sighs, glancing at me and Kiana.
Kiana glances at me before saying, "I'm gay" She does jazz hands, "Suprise," She sings with no emotion in her voice, still worried about Alisha.
I nod again, trying to get the image of them kissing out of my head so I can hold a conversation.
I look at Alisha, waiting for her to say something.
She glares at me and I grimace, "What, because you saw us I'm just supposed to tell you all of my feelings, and just everything about m-"
"Alisha," Kiana scolds softly grabbing her hand to stop her from saying more.
Alisha looks away from me, breathing deeply, her chest moving with her breath.
I decided to finally speak, "I don't care," I say honestly, "That you're gay, or bi or whatever, I'm just...shocked," I admit, "I didn't expect to see you two kissing."
Alisha purses her lips and looks at the ground.
"I first realized when I was 6," Kiana admits, "I saw this girl in my class wearing a dress, and I thought she looked cute. Whenever I saw her I got nervous and I would get jealous when she would talk to anyone else-especially guys. I told her I liked her dress and we become friends." Kiana exhales a breath slowly.
