Sophie POV

Sophie's heart fluttered nervously, as Fitz was about to pick her up for their date. Vertina and Biana were in her room, helping her get ready for her first date.

"Sophie!" Biana squealed shrilly. "I can't believe you are going on a date with my brother! You guys are my OTP! Anyway, I'm thinking for your aesthetic, maybe like a cutesy, angelic look, with light pinks and creams, with hints of teal of course," she added, wiggling her eyebrows at the last part, making Sophie blush.

"Sophie, I'm going to need you to come over to the vanity, so I can give you a makeover!!!!!"

"Biana, please go easy on the makeup. I want him to see the true me, not the enhanced me. I want him to love me for me, and not for my looks."

Biana groaned, but giggled. "Sophie, he's been hopelessly in love with you for 4 years. He already loves you so much, he would love you with a neon orange and purple sequined mermaid dress on."

Sophie blushed. "Do....do you think I'm good enough?"

Biana gaped, as she dabbed a light layer of concealer on Sophie's face. "Shut up, if anything, you're too good for him."

Sophie sighed, but put on a brave face, and hid her enormous doubts from her best friend.

Biana POV

Biana was shocked when Sophie voiced her concerns about her self worth. If she was Sophie, she wouldn't have any insecurities. There were times when she felt slightly jealous of Sophie, she had all the powers, all the boys pining after her. Even the guy she liked was hopelessly in love with her. Lots of people thought Biana Vacker was perfect, but she was far from it.

Biana reassured Sophie that she was wonderful and just perfect for Fitz, but she couldn't get that question out of her mind. Did Sophie think she wasn't good enough?

She came to the thought that she should tell Fitz, and the two lovebirds would work it out. But she had to make an excuse. Making an excuse for leaving wouldn't be so hard, she was lying to Queen Oblivious, and as she was finishing Sophie's dewy makeup, she soon came to the perfect solution.

"Oh no!" Biana started. "Sophie, I forgot to bring the perfect barrette from Everglen. Can I go grab it?"

"Of course, Biana!"

Biana was very pleased with the reply, and left immediately. As she walked to the Leapmaster, and wondered if everyone had insecurities, even if they had no flaws. She decided that no, she was the only one who had insecurities, because she was the only imperfect one. Sophie wouldn't have any, as there was nothing wrong with her, only with Biana.

Fitz POV

Fitz wandered through his closet with his father and Keefe, wondering what would happen if he made a mistake in front of Sophie.

"Son, why don't you wear this one?" suggested Alden, holding up a semi-formal navy suit, as Keefe skipped around, acting like a 5 year-old.

Fitz answered yes to Alden, and rolled his eyes at Keefe, who was now trying to balance on a clothing hanger on the floor.

Fitz walked to the bathroom, and Keefe and Alden waited downstairs. When Fitz emerged, a shrill voice said "Looking fancy, big brother."

Fitz closed his eyes and clenched his fists. He knew who this was in a heartbeat.

"Biana," he growled threateningly.

Sure enough, Biana unvanished, and plopped onto Fitz's bed, messing up all the sheets. which she knew annoyed Fitz. A lot.

"I have something to to tell you-"

"Not interested," Fitz interrupted, turning to brush his hair and teeth, but his ears reddened and perked when Biana said knowingly, "It's about Sophie."

"Fine, tell me."

"Sure, big brother. When I was at Havenfield doing a bronzy, dewy, makeup look, with peach and teal-"

"Get to the point, Biana," her brother icily interrupted, once again.

"Geez. Ok, ok," she agreed when Fitz stood up, giving her a death glare. "Sophie was doubting that she was good enough for you."

"But..." he trailed off.

"I know, and I told her that you loved her, but I still don't think she believes it."

Fitz sighed with sadness warring in his eyes.

"I'll talk to her about it on the date."

As Biana went to give Sophie a thing for her hair, Fitz didn't know what it was called, Fitz fought the tingly butterflies in his stomach and heart.

The butterflies that he got when he was around Sophie.

A little while later, when Fitz went to the Leapmaster to pick Sophie up, he wondered why Sophie felt that way.

Does she doubt our love for her? Did we take her for granted?
