The Opening of Starcourt Mall

December, 1984 - January, 1985

Since 6 months ago, the Russian scientists were opening the gate from their place but it gone wrong and failed. Their Comrade General Stepanov said to them that they have 1 year to do it again. The Russian USSR moved to Hawkins, Indiana, to built a secret base facility in the underground that they bought properties and lands in East Hawkins. Their biggest secret base facility is right underneath of the new biggest building that everybody is gonna love it, as they called it, Starcourt Mall. Grigori had shifted from enforcer to outright hitman, and was also undercover on the surface, posing as an employee, likely a corporate fixer of the Starcourt company. Grigori arrive at the Town Hall, to meet with the Mayor, Larry Kline to make a deal of building a Mall and a infiltration underneath, Grigori told Larry to be aware of their infiltration and not to tell anyone else about it.

February, 1985

Nick learns two new languages; Spanish and Italian. Nick bought a book of Dungeons & Dragons, that Will mentioned a year ago. Nick learns how to ride a bike and he own a bike last week. He ride his bicycle to a little trip around Hawkins. Meanwhile right near Town of Hawkins, Nick met Matthew in his bike, Matthew ask, "Hey hey, Nick, how are you doing man?" Nick reply, "*sigh* Not much, you?" Nick asked, Matthew reply, "Well I have pretty good time since the snowball party." They both laugh each other but they see a full of construction vehicles and army vehicles that are going towards to a new land to build a new building. Matthew ask to Nick, "Mmh, wonder what could they be building, should we found out?" Nick reply, "Sure." So they decide to follow them with their bikes to check what they're building. Later they see a massive building more than 1000ft long length and width. Matthew is thinking they're doing a Mall, a Movie Theater or a College University. Nick sees a picture and a title name, Starcourt Mall, comes with a Movie theater, 100+ Local stores and 10+ fast food restaurants. Nick gets to excite and exclaim of seeing a Mall with everything. He said, "Hey Matthew! Look at this!" Matthew surprised, "Oh my god! A Mall! Starcourt Mall." They see that it will be finished at the beginning of this Summer. Matthew ask, "When this is done, how would you say if we go for a shopping with Adam and Kevin?" Nick replies, "I think I'm going with my Grandma for the first time. And then maybe I can go with you guys in June 28th. Is that okay?" Matthew says, "Okay yeah, that sounds great. We'll meet here another day. Yeah alright see ya." Nick says, "Bye!" While Nick is returning back to his house, he hears a strange fluttering noise coming from somewhere, he follows it and it leads him to Brimborn Steel Works. Nick feels a dark feeling, an evil presence. Nick sneaks in carefully and he went inside but he hears the noises coming from underground but he decided not to find out what it is because it's too risky he thinks and he forgets everything from his trauma past. He returns to his house and Doris Driscoll starting to get worry about Nick. She ask, "Nick, where have you been?" Nick reply, "Um riding my bike with Matthew and we saw some new buildings that there's gonna be in Hawkins. We heard there's gonna be a Starcourt Mall. It will be finished by at the beginning of this summer. Do you think we can go there?" Nick asked, Doris reply, "Mhm, I mean that sounds Nice, but you gotta tell me where you are going okay?" Nick agrees and promised her. "Would you like to watch Star Wars?" Doris asked. Nick reply, "uh yes."

Nick:
When watching the Star Wars: A New Hope, there's this scene where Obi-Wan Kenobi talks about the force, "The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us, penetrates us. It binds the Galaxy together.... You must learn the ways of the Force." Which seems the force sounds exactly the same as my gift powers. But my powers starting to get shrink and weaker. I'll have to watch more Star Wars.
