October 3rd, 1985 At Ives' House in Bloomington, Indiana
Nick arrived at the Ives' house, knocks on the door waiting to respond, Becky Ives lifts the curtains aside and sees Nick waving at her. She opens the door asking, "What do you want kiddo?" "Hi, I'm looking for Becky Ives. Is she here?" "It's me. What are you." "I'm Nicholas.. Nicholas Driscoll. I drove over from Hawkins." Becky looks outside of her porch, seeing his car noticing Nick might be to young to drive, she scoffs, "And what brings you drove over here, stranger?" "A person told me that you're the only one to know where can I find my parents." "To find your parents?" "Yeah." "Where have you been all this?" "Do you know a place called, Hawkins National Laboratory?" Becky believes that Nick had been kidnapped by the same scientists that kidnapped her niece, Jane Ives. Becky welcomes Nick to her house to discuss everything from Nick's past trauma. As they're entering, Nick noticed another person living in Becky's house, he ask, "Oh, who's this?" "Terry Ives, my sister." "Is she okay?" "I don't think so, she's been like this for almost ten years." "Does she got brainwashed or something?" "No, no. She um.. she got electroconvulsive therapy." Nick felt shock seeing a person who had electroconvulsive therapy. "Breathe. Sunflower. Rainbow. Three to the right. Four to the left. Four fifty."

Becky offers Nick a glass of water and she says, "Here you go. Don't mind if I smoke cigarettes." "Sure, I mean I don't have asthma." "So explain everything from the beginning of your past." Nick discussed everything and Becky believed everything, she says, "Maria Rodriguez.. I've kinda heard that name before." "You know her?" "I've only heard her from 10 years ago. Now I don't know if she's still alive or maybe she's gone. By the time you and my niece were been kidnapped, Terry was suing the government and Maria got involved with her, they were supposed to be sued but they got thrown out of court due to a lack of evidence. After when Terry was trying to find Jane in the lab and they got her therapy, Maria was never been heard of around that time." Nick felt worried about his mother being gone for 10 years. He ask, "What about my dad? Have you seen him?" "I've never heard of him before." Nick lowers his head as he doesn't have a chance to find his parents. Becky also says, "But, if I can remember.. your mom, Maria, she also told me something that she mentioned your dad is living in another state. That's what she said." "What state?"
