its been a week since abby had saved nyko's life, using the medical equipment inside mount weather. i had been told that abby decided to open mount weather to the people. this angered me, but there's nothing i can do about it.

kane, monty, and bellamy had come home a few days ago. today i was accompanying kane and abby at the grounders capital: poils. the commander is hosting a summit at sun down.

right now, we were in the rover on our way there. we've been in the car for a few hours, so im assuming we will arrive soon. as i watch out the window, i think of my beloved jasper. i hope he's alright. he was pretty stressed about not coming with us.

the rover comes to a stop and kane hops out, "we're at the Polis city limits. from here, we go on foot."

Sargent Miller hops out of the rover and i hop out after him. i grab abby's hand and help her. "lexa's guards will be here soon. all guns and radios stay in the truck. her people will escort us to the summit." kane instructs, and i remove the gun from around my shoulder, and pull out the knife in my pocket.

i look down at my fellow guardsman's hands, "what is that?"

"it's a med kit." he answers.

"a med kit from mount weather? the place of their people were killed?" i pull it out of his hand and shove it at his chest, "you cant bring that into Polis."

he drops his head, and moves to the back of the rover. abby steps into my view frame, "dont take it out on him. if your gonna be mad, be mad at me."

i scoff, "Abby, moving our people into mount weather is the biggest mistake you could've made." i turn and walk up to the front of the rover, and lean my body on it. i pulled my ipod back out, and tuned out kane and abbys arguing.

after quite some time, lexa's guards finally came. they lead us through the woods, and into the beautiful city of polis. i stood beside kane as we looked around, admiring the city. "incredible." kane whispers.

as we walk around, i'm in pure aw. abby comes to kane's other side, "marcus, they're staring."

"we're under the commanders protection." i remind her.

a little girl comes up and grabs my hand, she drags me over to a food booth and the chancellors come over as well. a watch the woman pull out the squid, setting it on the platter and chopping it. she holds it up to me, "taik em (take it)"

i hesitate for a moment then take it, "mochof (thank you)" i smile and pop the piece of squid into mouth, bravely.

kane chuckles and does the same, abby denied it though. kane pulls his badge off his uniform. "beja, teik em, em's like a memoun gon our hou (please, take it, its like a symbol of our home)'

i had moved from the duo, and walked over to another stand. i noticed a yellow and green wooded bracelet, and picked it up. i walked over to the woman who owns the stand. "um," i rib the badge on my arm off, "em's like a memoun gon skaikru, beja, teik em. (its like a symbol of the sky people, please, take it)"

the woman smiles, and takes the badge. i slip the bracelet on my wrist and smile. god, i never imagined earth would be like this. we thought it was empty, lonely, and sad, but this city is so full of love. it's almost like nothing else matters here.

me, Kane and Abby had met up again, and were led to a room on the 98th floor. the sun is almost setting. we stood in front of the open window, "the sun is going down. where's Lexa?" Abby becomes impatient.

Kane crosses his arms, "she'll be here soon."

from outside the door we can hear a few men speaking in trigedasleng, "here we go." i say.
